Go back to the Imodium AD and discontinue the Lomotil. Take the Imodium at the time you would normally be taking the next dose of Lomotil. You don't need an appointment to phone your doctor and report this.

I presume it must be safe, seeing as I've been taking a combination of Lomotil, Imodium (Loperamide), Kaolin et Morph and Codeine phosphate for some 15-20 years now ... under the supervision of both my GP and my diabetic consultant.

why dont you try phoning up the NHS direct line and asking there? or ask a pharmacist? they will most likely be able to help as they know all about the ingredients in both products.

have you tried googling it as well?

Best person to ask would be your doctor.
