To gain good weight, perform strength training exercises which will increase muscle mass that's heavier than adipose tissue (fat). Lift more weights with less reps than what you would do with endurance exercises. Don't forget to have protein after your vigorous workouts. Some people have a protein shake which is okay but since you're more concerned about gaining plain weight, go ahead and have a nice steak.

50 Kgs at 23 years, is a healthy weight, you should be comfortable at this wait. Wait for another 2 years you cross 55 Kgs or more, naturally. Dont go for any artificial weight gain, eat moderately and proteneous food. Good luck.

At this age your weight must around 60 to 64. You can take every morning protien ful diet as Dals, chane.
Take a light exercise daily it will give u a mental relief.
Take milk every day in morning and the time of sleeping after two hours of food.
You will definitely gain benefit from it

Though you have not mentioned your height so it is difficult to calculate your BMI and to understand how much you are under weight. But by my experience if any one wants to grow weight he / she should take lot of bananas every day for at least two to three months. But you should take care that ones your weight reaches desired level reduce your banana intake to half and gradually reduce it to two bananas. Take care.

eat every two hours. it should be the same time daily and follow it regularly.

don't munch on junk foods or deep fried or frozen food.
eat vegetables fruits or salad and sandwich even chapatis and rice; anything healthy.

follow this u would gain weight in just a month.

Eat protein and carbohydrate food...like floor content food and regularly take bananas & sprouts.
And regularly do some exercises or give some work 2 body.
