Just for fun, swap the word 'Jesus' for the word 'SUN'...(yes, that big 'ol bright celestial
body in the sky which emitts heat, light and radiance
and supports all life on earth) and then read the bible from that perspective. What do you come up with?

The ancients noted (especially the Egyptians) that if the sun came up every morning there would always be eternal life on EARTH. Therefore, the son of God (the actual SUN, the light of the world) is what peope considered their salvation - not Jesus. The bible is one huge fairytale. That's why it's noted as the best 'story' ever told...and sold!

Xarial, you say: the sun broke the bread in half and........well it wouldn't be logical".
And I say, you're believing a fairytale. It's that simple, really, it is!

Sirlock - but you BOUGHT the bible story...hook, line and sinker. There isn't any proof, fact or anything remotely believable in it...YET, you believe it over historical facts? Huh? Feelin ok?

I'm not a Christian.

I will include myself in the (and the like), category.

Just for fun...I will try reading a chapter of the NT, and replace the word Sun for Jesus.

Good idea!

Taken from Job chapter 31, "26  If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
27  And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
28  This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above"

The Bible mentions sun worship quite often. But God doesn't seem to like it. So I'd rather prefer to take Job's advice.

The entire universe reflects God, shows the aspects of God and the heavens are his record of coming attractions; made long before the word was written as scripture or became flesh and dwelt among us.

There is a hymn that goes like this: " We shall shine as the stars of the morning, with Jesus the crucified one. We shall rise to be like Him forever; eternally shine as the sun."

Oh, when did the sun start talking? I missed that one. Has anyone really read the bible all the way through, and still has the time to reread it replacing Jesus with sun? I need to get started reading it the first way.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean literally replace every instance that the bible uses the name Jesus, with the word sun? That will take me a while. I'll get back to you.

So you're trying to tell me, the sun is the son of god?

the sun broke the bread in half and........well it wouldn't be logical, if the sun touched the bread it would disintegrate.XD

I would guess that you would say one of the Religions of Ancient Egypt. But you can do the same in reverse. Read Son into their writings. There is one truth, many paths.

Ummm......the sun is Jesus?
It would be weird though, seeing a great, hot ball of light, put it's hand out and touch someone to heal them.
