Why didn't He just sum it up in one line?

"Live however you want, forget the Law and go to heaven..... if you accept jesus" ??

MAYBE BECAUSE THATS NOT TRUE....ever thought of that?

If it were that simple would the book be 2300 pages?

Maybe we are supposed to look at something other than Galatians.

Did He make it 2300 pages so we can find the one line and use it as an excuse to forget EVERYTHING else??

I really don't think so.

Anyone have a remote idea what I am saying here?

this link shows why 100% of Christians take Galatians wrong.

And is it righteous to search through your Bible only looking for loopholes on why you don't have to follow it??

Y'know, I was having a really bad weekend, and a stranger asked me if I believed in Christ - which was really very touching in a way, so it made me feel like crap - because in honesty I had to say no. That he was a great man I could concede - but not that part about an afterlife....
this fellow said he would pray for me anyways, which was nice I guess.....
but as far as how long the book needs to be....
the Gospels - and you really could toss the rest.
I dont think Christ meant asking for forgiveness was intended as a free pass to any kind of malicious behavior - thats insulting to the intent of what he teaches.
Every text has two meanings - I seem to recall thats why Parables are used so often in religious texts.
Peace

The bible is NOT a book! It is 2 separate collections of religious writings. What GOD gave us is the Spirit of truth within to clear up the confusion caused by the bible and the christian church. Many inspired texts were banned by the people who compiled these documents. The apocryphon of John is the missing piece. Ask the Spirit of truth for confirmation of this.

I don't understand what you're talking about honey. God wrote the Bible and what you have to understand is when you accept Jesus, you won't want to live the old way you were living.

The Bible IS true, and yes we are saved by grace, but I don't think you are saved or you wouldn't be so nasty in your question and oh its GOD, not G hyphen D. Thanks and have a blessed day. God Bless.

as I recall there are several places in the bible that say "repent and sin no more" and Luther's small chatechism defines repentance as a solemn oath to God never to commit that same sin again--saved by grace is a crock and those who buy into it still use the bible to judge everybody else, but judging isn't a sin for them anymore because they are saved by grace and can sin however much they want--oh yeah, BTW judge much yourself?

well maybe it is because most of the Bible was not given to the Christians.

Maybe instead of stealing what was not given to them and calling it their own they should simply be happy with their new testament

Grace is not a license to sin, otherwise it would not say, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. . . .
