NO.
The ticket is Valid.
Go to Court.
In my 20 years of driving I've received many tickets for various things. I have never been given an original. The driver usually gets the bottom copy that was made from a carbonless copy. What probably happened is the cop didn't press frimly enough or the type of pen he used didn't work very well on carbonless copies.
Or worse yet, lets say the cop did forget to sign the ticket. All he would have to do is sign his original and them claim what I just explained.
If you think the ticket is unsigned and therefore invalid, raise that issue in court.
Don't take a chance loosing your license.

no, just tear it up. If you get in trouble later, then I guess you shouldn't have listened to someone on cyber space and took responsiblity and found out by calling the court or police department. They will probably tell you the ticket is valid, signed or not, because a ticket is actually just a promise to appear. You signed it also, so you promised to appear in court. Good luck!

Nope, you're toast. . .
Administrative errors do not void tickets. The judge will have the officer sign the ticket in court.

You are correct, that is a legal document and if it wasn't signed I would just tear it up and forget about it!

You might have a case, but I would check with a lawyer first, or If you have to go to court, you could point this out to the judge in a respectful manner.

It is valid. Minor errors like that cannot void a ticket.
I've seen tickets that had the wrong color ("silver" instead of "gold") of vehicle, wrong year of vehicle, wrong type of vehicle, but ticket is still valid.

Yes, it's a general purpose citation form, not an iron clad legal document. you better reply to the court or show up, or whatever your instructed to do. I assure you he turned it in, they often leave out all kinds of info, it is not mandatory to fill every box.

Nice try, but you won't beat it. What would have changed if he did sign it? Nothing!
