I have a one year old Puggle named Hayley. She has Beagle eyes..although I have seen lots of puggles with the bulgy pug eyes..Her eyes tear up all the time...She snores, Barks, whelps, growls, Snarls, and whines every night while she dreams. Its wierd to see her dreaming because her face twitches all crazy like and you can see her eyes going into R.E.M. (Rapid Eye Movement)...Shes a great dog that does lots of tricks and is very obidient. She gets a little crazy when company comes over and is like a little lightning ball of energy! Her bark is actually pretty big for a little dog..Think she gets it from the Beagle..lol She loves to chew, chew, chew but only on her toys and bones....I stopped giving her stuffed animal toys because she preceeds to rip their heads off and tear the stuffing out of them on the first day so I stick to stricktly hard chew items...She can be a handfull at times but I love her..shes probably one of the smartest dogs...No...the smartest dog I've ever owned..but she is a little hyper but thats what I got our new Puppy Snoop(Boston Terrier Beagle Mix) for..so they can wear each other out playing. Great Breed of Dog!! Welcome to the Family...
UPDATE: This is for all of the idiots below me! Just to let you know every breed of dog in the AKC started as a mutt!! Some kind of mix between to other dogs or many dogs. So, if this is the case whichit is what makes a so called Pure Breed any bettter?? Do your homework before you decide to talk out of your @$$! A Puggle is a breed just not an AKC recognized breed. I'm sure some time down the road it will be. Just like all the mutts before it Bull Mastiff, Dogo De Argentino, French Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Bull Terrier, Boxer, StaffordshireTerrierthis list could go on for days...All dogs are mutts even the pure breeds so get off your high horses.. its a dog and we love them and that all that matters to us.

A puggle? Sorry, there is no such breed. You mean a beagle/pug mix?
With crosses like this, since these are not a breed, there are no "breed standards". You could get traits from either one or both of the dogs. Even puppies from the same litter can look different and get different qualities from the different breeds.
As far as those questions you've asked, most of those could describe any dog. Any dog can snore, and many small dogs also have a high pitched bark or yap. Nearly any dog will beg food from it's owner if the owner has not trained it not to do so. These are not pug, beagle, or 'puggle' specific qualities.
Now, about the scooting on the ground, I would recommend having your vet check that out. It could be a sign of worms, or the glands on either side of the anus could be getting blocked up and they need drained. For either one of those scenarios, you need a vet to help with it.

A beagle/ pug mix is a MUTT. Those individuals who are producing mutts and dubbing them with "Designer dog" names are motivated solely by greed and are not only perpetrating an unscrupulous scam on the public, but doing harm to the very dogs they breed. They do NO health screenings or genetic testing at all. They do not even breed to a standard, (because there is none). In the case, for example, of the "Puggle", they are risking the very lives of the dogs they produce by virtue of the breeds they are crossing (pug + beagle). A brachycephalic dog, (such as a pug) with the lung power and prey drive of a beagle would be in serious danger or dropping dead while playing on a hot day. Those "breeders" are very adamant in perpetuating the lie that "mutts are healthier", yet these puggles are already exhibiting epilepsy (a disease that has virtually been eradicated in the lines of responsible beagle breeders), before the age of one and a defect where the bones break very easily and do not properly heal. They don't guarantee to take back their dogs, so these sick animals are now growing in numbers in shelters. By the way, they charge more for a "puggle", (anywhere from $1200-$2,000.00) than a beagle pup from a responsible breeder would cost.

Is this a trick question? Whatever is a puggle? Sounds like you're describing one of those pink fluffy toys you wind up and they do somersaults and yip yip yip. I hope it's not a real dog you're talking about because it sounds hideous. By the way if it scoots on its bottom, it has WORMS. If it snores, it has breathing difficulties. Please take it to the vet, then enter it in the Ugliest Pet category at your local fete.

Well. the scooting is probably either a sign of worms, or anal glands that do not empty properly when your dog poops. Your vet can express those for you for a small fee, but you should have him checked for worms.

the butt scooting is a sign of worms. we raise puggles, yes they snore, i never notice ny eye tearing up when they see us eat, but maybe its because i'm a sucker and i give in and give them people food before they get to that point lol. they have very high ptched barks and howling capabilities. they dont have real puggy eyes, but they do have big eyes

they are not a breed of dog but a mixed of two different breeds of dogs. any short faced dog will snore. the scooting could be anal gland problems.
