If you hold the power button in for more than four seconds, the motherboard will be forced off. The next time you start the machine, setup will run from a step or two just before the product key entry page.

Cannot. only thing is
1. startup from a win98 or winme startup disk and format the drive which you installed the partial XP.
2. Re-start, if you already had a previous installation of xp or something, select that in the OS selection screen and boot. Then you can remove the partially installed folder and remove the startup from the Systems applet in the control panel.
3. If you didn't have previous installation, then boot from win XP bootable CD and do what ever you want, re-instal, or format or anything.

you Can't do that, sorry it needs you to type the product key number in to carry on the installation...
if you have not got the product key number then your up the creek without a paddle,,,
though you could install linux onto your computer for free check out the websites below
you will get all the software you'll ever need all for free,
download the operating system, make the cd, run it from the cd till you get used to it,,, if your on broad band you will be able to get on the internet using the CD rom and surf the net
you can't do that with windows can ya
