TUBEROOT - The name christ means nothing to us because Jesus christ was not his name.
He was a born Jew, He died A Jew & his name was Yeshau & He will come down & embrace Islam & then he will be ISA (AS)
http://www.islam101.com/history/people/prophets/jesus/christ_in_islam0.htm
Muslims hold Isa (as) (aka Yeshau) in the highest regard, he is loved by all muslims, He is mentioned many times in the holy Quran. Muslims have the greatest respect for him. He is one of our Holy Prophets (pbuh)
I hope the link above gives you a better understanding.
You should read all Ahmed Deedats lectures, he was a brilliant man.

I'm glad to see that muslims do respect jesus a prophet. I respect muhammed as a prophet as well. Clearly his rev's(revealations) are basically good.
I do have to differ with them on the point of the cross though.. Jesus did go to the cross willingly to pay for our sins. I'm not saying that muhammed got it wrong. He was upset that it took the death of someone to save people from their sins.
As i am willingly ready to die for any of you, as christ did. I believe in him as a saviour. And if my dying, spared your lives, so be it. I will look from the afterlife and be happy that you are still living, that goes for any member of any religion.

Muslims believe he was a Prophet born from the Virgin Mary and during his Prophethood he was supported by the Angel of Revelation, Angel Gabriel who is also called Ruhool Qudoos (Holy Spirit).
He was sent to the Jews as a redeemer. If they accepted his admonitions and came back to the straight path then they would be forgiven their sins of slaying the Prophets and they would be saved from being cursed.
He performed miracles like the Prophets before him and he never preached against the first commandment of God.

Muslims think Jesus is the premiere prophet, God's favorite man. They believe Jesus was created by God in Mary's womb, but not that God is Jesus' father. In the Koran, Jesus and God have a dialogue in which God makes sure that Jesus knows Jesus is not divine. Jesus says he knows that totally; it's just his silly followers that get confused. And, of course, many of Christ's followers left accounts of Jesus' great frustration with his follower's misunderstanding of his teachings.

They do not believe He is the Son of God. Therefore not divine, holy, the Lamb of God, or the One who redeemed me with the sacrifice of His precious Blood. They do not believe He offered Himself sinless and brought to us the New Covenant. This is heresy. They only respect Him as human and a prophet.
