simply astro-theology. Does anyone else see how astrology and the zodiac are the main themes in the bible? If so, tell me what you've noticed.

To be clear, this has nothing to do with whether or not one believes in astrology. The fact is, though, that the bible is riddled with astrology and speaks frequently about the zodiac, the 'houses', the 'ages', 'sun' worship, virgo the 'virgin' etc etc.

I do--then it states how these things are a sin, very contradicting.

Well, the bible clearly isn't ''the word of god" as the great archeological advances in biblical texts show that the books have been copied and miscopied many times, and that not all copies of the books have the same text in each chapter and verse. Sometimes, the different versions of the same stories even contradict each other. The story of Jesus telling those without sin to cast the first stone is agreed by ALL biblical scholars to be a complete fraud - tho a wonderful story. It appears no where, no where, nowhere - not in one single text - until after 400 A.D. It's just made up.
I am aware of the influence on the bible of the egyptian monotheistic cult that moses was a high priest for. One of Genesis' two versions of the creation myth comes creation for creation right out of egyptian myth.
So, I know what it's not. Where do you see astrological themes? I suppose to the extent that astrologers tried to make their musings relevant to life, and the old testament is a bunch of stories about life, there will be similarities.

The bible, quite simply, is a poorly assembled compilation of badly translated texts based upon the archaic myths, passed down through much their history orally, of men so primitive that they were barely out of the Stone Age. As such, much of it is absurd, irrational, and overwhelmingly pathetic. The stories of the bible consist of bizarre fictions with no basis in history and of incoherent delusions resulting from those who spent too much time fasting beneath the hot sun of the Middle East. There is nothing in the bible that is true, and nothing that could remotely be considered relevant by modern people living in a highly technological era.

Where do you get the idea ?
Astrology and zodiac came from pagan believe. There's no such thing in the bible.
"We constantly thank God that when you received from us the word of God's message, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God" (1 Thessalonians 2:13).

Christians try their best to wipe the Magi and their astrology from their minds.......They constantly forget the Magi and their anointing of the infant Jesus, though its something they haven't been able to remove from the Bible.
If you want the Truth.....Ask a Pagan.

For every real thing there's a counterfeit. The 12 tribes of Judah were given symbols from God to represent each tribe, ie: the Lion of Judah before astrology came to be. Satan took these things and perverted them to be used for His purposes. Prophets vs fortune tellers, truth vs lies, etc.
What's the purpose of a counterfeit? To deceive and pass for the real thing when it is not.

I think you're missing quite a bit. There are occasional parallels but the main themes of the Bible are God, obedience, betrayal, forgiveness, life eternal, among many others. Astrology is simply too small to encompass all that is God.

most of the Bible isn't meant to be taken literally, you are right about that. But astrology is utter nonsense, nothing has ever been accomplished with it.
