I am going on vacation may 16 and wanted to get down to 125 and i'v had all the time in the world and did not do it and now i really want to get back to my normal weight of 125 and wanted to know if anyone has any tips on how to lose the weight fast.

It depends. If you are in great shape, have a good amount of muscle mass, and have a good metabolism, it's definitely possible. Do an hour and a half of fairly intense cardio exercise five days a week for the next three weeks, eat three relatively healthy FULL meals a day, skip out on the snacks, and you can do it. The best thing about this weight loss method is that your weight will STAY off. If you were to crash diet, you would easily put that weight back on faster than you ever have before.

However, if you never work out or don't do so that often, I would say that losing 15 pounds healthfully in the next 3 weeks is highly improbable.

Most doctors believe that losing much more than 2 lbs per week is risky (or at least the weight will have a better chance of returning). It is doable as many people in this thread have already attested, but what's most likely going to happen is that you will lose a good number of those lbs from water and muscle.

Instead of doing a crash diet, you might want to just sit down and figure out how many calories you are consuming currently, and find a way to cut out some of the extra "junk". For me, it was giving up some of the soda.

If your goal really is to lose weight, then it's just a matter of calories in vs calories out. But if your real goal is to look and feel good, I would recommend adding some strength training. (even just doing push ups and crunches) I found I was happy with my body when I started toning up - even more than when I actually reached my target weight.

Most of all, enjoy your vacation without worrying too much!

I'm actually in the same situation. I cut out everything except vegetables, fruit and cereal, but this will take longer then three weeks if you don't exercise! Try walking two hours five to six days a week. That's 508 calories. Walking up and down the stairs for ten minutes burn 112 calories. It's worth it belive me! Also, drink ice water. It increases your metabolism.

I lost 15 lbs in two weeks on the Bella Via diet. It has lists of food to eat and you pick. The easiest diet i ever used. You dont take any drugs which was great for me. The program costs 20.00 and you get everything. You dont have to keep buying more like the other programs i looked at. I found it on google

Try the Sacred Heart Diet. There's all sorts of discussion about where it originated, yada, yada, yada...
But it works! In three weeks you can do it safely twice and likely lose twenty pounds. Just google "sacred heart diet". The soup is actually really good.

There isn't any way to lose the weight healthily. The only way to do it would to be exercising to excess, and incredibly strict calorie control.
I think that you could probably do 10 pounds at the most.
