i have it, and i would like to donate blood more often... so please let know. i am just interested!!

O + is not rare at all! According to the AB0 blood typing system there are four different kinds of blood types: A, B, AB or 0 (null). See the the page below. It will show you that O+ is very common and O Positive type blood can be safely given to persons with any blood types:

Nearly half of all the blood ordered by hospitals is Type 0 negative. ... Patients with any of the positive blood types can safely receive type 0 positive.

Type 0, the oldest blood type, reflects a time when humans survived by hunting their food. Type O-negative blood does not have any antigens. It is called the "universal donor" type because it is compatible with any blood type. And blood type O is recessive.

Type AB-positive blood is called the "universal recipient" type because a person who has it can receive blood of any type. You can read more at the links below.

I have A negative blood type. Yes it is pretty rare but I can not give blood because I have had cancer twice in my life. Until 2006 I gave blood at least 3 times a year. It breaks my heart that I can not help other people.

O+ is not rare* it is a common blood type. They will ask you tho when donating blood if you take any medications*

Not rare at all, quite common. Donate blood as often as you can.

O stands for universal, its the most common type of blood type.
