I used to smoke cigarettes and smoke weed regualry and about 8 months ago i got a new job.. when i started school after that summer i wasnt able to smoke weed anymore because i would and still do get horrible panic attacks. i also started getting chest pains regulary. I quit smoking everything and started living a healthy lifestyle but i still get these chest pains. Its been about 7 months now and they arnt getting any better. My doctor told me that it could be anxiety and im getting some tests done but im not sure because i only get anxiety attacks when i smoke weed.. otherwise i only have smaller attacks that arnt half as bad. I have however been stressed out beyond since the begining of this school year and im wondering if the stress could be the reason why i experience chest pains.

Yeah, they're probably residual minor panic attacks.

Weed stays in your system longer than we originally thought.

Its probably repeating on you.

I actually went through something very similar, had the EKG, multiple heart monitors.. the works... The told me my stress levels were high and I was having anxiety attacks too. It's very common for an anxiety attack to feel like a real heart attack. You shouldn't worry to much. Try meditation. Deep breathing exercises really help me. Also ask your Dr if you have an irregular heart beat. That's what was causing some of my anxiety attacks. While they were running the tests they told me I have PVC (pre-ventricle contractions). The told me it's nothing to worry about, just a minor annoyance. I wouldn't worry to much. Just do some relaxation exercises and keep yourself calm. (easier said that done sometimes) Good Luck to you!

It could be anxiety and the residual effect of smoking pot, but it is worth the time to have your heart checked, just in case there has been some strain put on it. Have you spoken to your doctor about your having bad panic attacks as they can be quite debilitating if not treated.

Yes, stress & anxiety can definately cause heart pulpitations as well as chest pain. That's good that you've seen your doctor and he will be running some tests on you just to see what's going on.
I'm glad you've chosen to stop smoking and smoking weed...I hope everything comes back ok for you....and you try to simmer down a bit with the stress/anxiety...search deep as to what's causing you to feel this way and make the changes you need to* BestWIsheS*

Hi there, I just laugh about my past 3 years of panic now. I was not able to go anywhere without carrying xanax. Fear of having another attack was the most important subject of my days. When i first found joe barry's web site i started to cry because of my happiness.
