Wicca is an ancient pagan practice, and as with all pagan practices includes a deep reverence and respect for all living things whether animal, mineral or vegetable (that's right, rocks can have a consciousness). It's not about worshipping nature but about understanding and harnessing the natural energies available on earth for the greater good, as with Druidic and Shamanistic practices.

Wiccans don't worship nature...they try and live in harmony with it...and with all living things. Unlike the Christian mentality of being so far above everyone else and who gives a damn about this planet because there is "paradise" waiting for us. Wiccans truly have the understanding that we are only borrowing this planet from those that come after us. To bad Christians can't get a grasp on that mentality. It has nothing to do with worshiping the creator. It has to do with appreciating what the creator has bestowed upon us and taking care or it and appreciating it. You could learn a few things from them...trust me.

to get in touch with ones self and ones inner worth through the beauty of nature. i believe that each person is here to learn leasons in this life to hel them advance to a higher realm were they will learn other leasons striving to be one with the all. this can only be achieved through each lesson for example some of the lessons are: humility, understanding, tolerance ,forgivness, these all seem simple but when have you truly forgave someone or the last time you truely stood in someone elses shoes and could honestly say you understood where they were coming from. it is not enough to do this once but all the time on a consistant basis. by conecting with nature and the energy through out the universe this helps bring you in balance to help you recieve insight to waht you are supposed to learn this life time. the wiccan religion is much more complex dear and if you are truely curious then i suggest you do some research. it wont make you wiccan i promise it will just help you understand more about the religion so you can answer your own questions

Only people that know nothing about Wicca think that Wiccans worship nature. They don't. They respect and understand that we are part of nature, not above it. Unlike Christians who think that nature is there for your pleaseure and use.

Why do you need a purpose like Christians have in their religion? Wiccans find it gives them peace and acceptance of the world around them. Wiccans do not exist to serve their gods. They are not slaves to their gods pleasure.

Wiccans feel that we are merely another cog in the giant wheel of life. One of many with none being any more important than any other.

I can only attribute it to the Church try to control and to very bad Hollywood movies! We only have one way to live. I think that frightens many because we know what is right and wrong, what hurts others and ourselves, without having a Jealous Single God to watch over us. We have the religion of True free will. Our lives are simpler and easier and that is scary to a lot of people! It is christians that berate us and make us out to believe in Satan...which if they were to look, there is no such being. No true evil and no true goodness. Many aspects to our nature. I can only ask this, have you ever heard of a Pagan or Wiccan murderer? Its usually the christian zealot out to show the evil ones their wrong doing. Just sayin....Peace and love to you dear one! Blessings during this festive Yule!

no, but I can see from your bias that you're not ready to understand. you're only looking to reinterpret/misinterpret to suit your agenda.

you have my pity.
