What about ILLEGAL is so hard to understand. Illegal is not acceptable!
We have every right to demand that the 20 to 30 million illegals obey our laws. They have no right to be here and their statement about being here for a better life is BS!

Illegal means absolutely nothing anymore!!! We NEVER voted to supply these illegal people with health insurance the government did so let them pay for their health insurance out of their own pockets not ours! These illegals don't even bother to speak English which is the American language! Their children go around and interpret for them and this is wrong also. What about all the welfare they are collecting? Until they make themselves legal and go through the proper process to become legal they should get nothing at all!!! They are allowed more benefits than real Americans who speak English and this is absolute garbage! Have you ever been to court for whatever reason and seen all the illegals who need interpreters because they are working on their 7th or better DUI's? The real Americans have to sit through them and their interpreters before getting their turn. The illegals should have to sit and wait til the real Americans who pay taxes and speak English are done first! I could go on and on but I feel like going out to commit a crime just to bring this up in court because illegal means nothing anymore!

The problem is that the government and businesses actually *want* illegal immigrants, because there is no legal obligation to pay them a living wage and the people living here can do nothing about. These illegal immigrants are vital to our economy.
I believe that this says we need to change the the immigration laws we have. I don't believe we can let people in without documentation because it's dangerous. We need to know who is living in this country. But we also need people here to work (quite frankly, the idea that illegal immigrants are "taking away the jobs from everyone else" is a little silly. Most of the jobs that illegal immigrants do are jobs that legal citizens would not touch because it's hard work and the pay is awful), and perhaps we need to reform the laws that we have so people are documented, but we can bring people here to work and get paid better than they are in their own country. Of course, they also need the right to unionize, etc.
But, legal or not, I don't believe anyone in this country has the right to hurt or harass immigrants. They are still human beings, regardless of documentation (or lack thereof). That is why I'm so opposed to the Minutemen and similar groups.
Also, I thought I would add that we are a country "based on laws and people are punished if they break the laws" is really in name only. Enough money will get you out of most anything.

yes they would and as already stated most of them have been paying taxes for years, if you are going to point out facts then you can't just read the ones that work in your defense. What about all the Americans that have been living off of welfare and government housing? What about all the Americans that work for one month of the year and then because they have 3 kids they get back a couple of thousand? Mexicans that are illegal have work because there are so many people in this country that don't bother with regular jobs. They feel that because there American they should get more than minimum wage, maybe if We as Americans focused more on what we are doing to help our nation we could get beyond the smaller hurdles in life.

All my ancestors came to America legally; but none of them had to get a green card or take a test to become a citizen. Why, you ask? Because they were all here before there was a United States of America!
That being said, I don't understand why those legal immigrants from *every* country, but especially from Mexico - men like Baldemar Hernandez, Emetlio (Ted) Amaya, and their fellow Tex-Mexs - and other naturalized U. S. citizens, are not *much* more vocal - screaming about all the illegals flowing into America, receiving free health care, getting fraudulent Social Security cards, getting fake driver's licenses, illegally registering to vote, and otherwise breaking our laws, etc.
You can put all the blame on "W" if you want - and many will - but "Slick Willy" couldn't get his first two Attorney General nominees approved, even by a Democrat-controlled Senate, because they had undocumented employees for whom they did not pay the employer's share of Social Security! Within the past three years, an illegal Mexican immigrant, who could not speak English and who did *not* have a driver's license, was driving his employer's truck and struck and killed people in Columbus, Ohio. How was that the fault of the President of the United States? It was, of course, the fault of the illegal alien, the fault of his employer, maybe the fault of the city administration of Columbus, perhaps the fault of the state administration of Ohio!
A note to "San La Muerta": The so-called "Native American" came to both North and South America, a few thousand years ago, so they are *all* immigrants, mostly from Asia! Few who came to America, of European ancerstry, came illegally! True, we immorally imported people from Africa as slaves and people from Asia as cheap laborers, but we did not require any "Native American" to stay on the reservations - at least not those who wished to peaceably integrate into the emerging American culture - does the name, Jim Thorpe, ring a bell? My wife is one-sixteenth-Shawnee (I think) and some of her first cousins have had to register as "Native American" so that they can be accorded special status at their places of employment. I have a brother-in-law who is part Blackfoot and have had friends who are part Cherokee - so what? Pocahanas, Powhaten's daughter, became Mrs. John (Rebecca) Rolf, Squanto traveled back and forth to England several times.

The real question is how much does the middle class have to sacrifice so that corporations can have cheap labor. The illegal immigration issue is more about cheap labor that the rights and needs of the middle class. The illegals benefit when no one stands up the corporations who pass their the bills to the middle class. Say like anchor babies, health care, jails, old and new roads, jails, education, press one for Spanish, and SSI for low income kids.

Apparently not. We went through this same thing in the 1980's, also. The new laws made then were not obliged, so no new ones of today will be either. The main reasons to shut down the borders are terrifyingly outlined in the novel Terror in America – You Are Not Safe! by Ned Kalbfleish. (http://www.terrorinamerica.com/).

They have laws against stupid stuff that needs to be changed. Did you know that in some places it is against the law to have sex in the butt? Gay people still do it because that is unfair. It is the same with illegal immigration. It is unfair for you to tell me I can't be in this country so I ignore that law.

When a government does not enforce a law, it is because it has an interest in not enforcing the law. The millions of Mexicans further divides the People and makes them ever more servile to Government. That is the reason the US Gov't forces integration (diversity) down our throats. Not because it is a nice Government, but rather it further weakens the population's resistance to the ever-encroaching tyranny.

Because they have made a pity party for themselves. They want to come here, then realize what it takes (which is not so hard) and they don't want to do it.
All they have to do is what is required. They make excuses for moving and changing jobs and not keeping up with the paperwork. They don't think they should have to have id's or that they should have to let the government know where they move and where they work. We have to have id's to even get a job and they question id's?? They just have to fill out forms and pay a fee (35 bucks) whenever they move or change jobs. That all just seems like laziness to me and if they are working, they can pay the 35 bucks.
