I will like to know what is everyones opinion on immigration? Do you think it is right to send people back to their country when they are just trying to earn a living? Or is Bush being too unfair?

Ok for all you people that say they should come here the right way or whatever, how are they supposed to come here the right way if they wont let them. You know what Bush is full of BS and so are most of you guys. Without those immigrants there will be alot of things going bankrupt. Those immigrant are the one getting paid pennies to work at a farm, and milk coes and to do pure BS. Those immigrants are just trying to put food on the table for their families just like we all are. Would you prefer to let them stay home and starve to death. In Mexico there is no money, no food no nothing, they have to do something to eat. How would you like to be send back to your home country after you had your life in the US. And how about their kids. Some parents just want their kids to have the best education, like we all want for our kids. You guys man, you have to think about everyone else and their family and how hard it is for them. They just trying to support their families like we are.

Just because we have the good life because we are citizens doesnt mean they do. People they just want to feed their family, and they want to feed themselves. I dont understand how a group of people could think like that. If they are not doing anything wrong why would you want to send them home. If they send the immigrants back home all they are doing is sending them to their death beds. In mexico and those foreign country there are no job oppurtunities, so how are they suppose to earn money without a job? Most people in those country dont eat for days because they have no money. If god could know how you people fell he will be soo disappointed, I know i am

A country that does not control its borders is not a country.
The US should not be the only country that does not control who is allowed to enter.
If you think American immigration laws are bad, you should check out Mexico's.

From the tone of your question, I am guessing, you think we should not send those illegal aliens back. Is this correct?
The fact of the matter is, we have a law that states, all people who wants to come to this country must enter legally. We also have a law that says, in order to work, you have to have a status that allows you to work.
We have a law that allows people to come in, gain an employment, and stay legally. Yes, there are requirements to gain this privilege. If we didn't, what is so good about being a citizen of this country? Every privledge comes with requirements and criterias that you must meet, and responsibility that you must assume.
Those people who are here illegally came into this country, breaking and disrespecting our laws. They also break the law when they accept employment.
What is the right thing to do? We also have a law that says everyone is equal under the law. Should we not apply the law equally to these people, and they get a just treatment? (which is to be found illegally present in this country)
If you look at the laws in other countries, they have all similar laws. In Mexico, they find illegal aliens from all other parts of south America. They send them back or jail them.
Try doing some research into how Mexico handles the illegal immigration problem. You'd be surprised, and you'd be surprised how Mexican government can complain how we handle the issue.
As far as I am concerned, illegal aliens should be sent back. BUT, I will welcome them when they enter this country legally.

Think about all the company who do things legally and will go bankrupt because of illegal immigrants. Life is about jumping hoops. Its unfair for those who did everything the right way and then get punished. If there is no punishment for hiring illegal immigrants, Companies would prefer to hire illegals. Legal citizens are being passed over for jobs because companies can mistreat illegal immigrants with out fear of being sued. Illegal immigrants don't get pennies. I read on the LA times that illegal immigrants are turning down jobs paying more than $10 an hour. The reason some companies perfer illegals is no lawsuit worry and they don't have to pay for workers comp. Workers comp insurance is extremely high in California. If we let one person break the law , then it would start a cascade affect. People are living in substandard conditions because there is a group of people hiding. If we let them break the law, Corporate heads will too.

Immigration is great. ILLEGAL immigration is not. Why should one group of people be favored over another just because we share a border with them. If I were trying to become a citizen the legal way I would be really angry at any talk of 'amnesty'. At the same time it's not realistic to send millions of people back so... give people the option of a 10,000 dollar fine and go to the back of the immigration line... or serve in the military for X amount of time.. OR a free trip back to your country of origin.

This country has roughly 12,000,000 un-documented workers that work for less that what a legal citizen would make. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law as soon as they enter this country which makes them all criminals. I know that they are just trying to make a living and all that but at the same time they are taking jobs from American citizens and legal Mexican citizens. If someone moved into your house illegally, would'nt you make them leave? Same thing, just on a larger scale.

My parents are LEGAL immigrants, which means: waiting from 5 to 7 years for the process of their papers, lots of money they had to spend for tests, trips to Cd. Juarez and Tijuana, Immigration attorney, etc.
They had to pay for this extra permit that would let them live in the U.S. while the immigration was coming, plus they have to wait 5 more years to become citizens, oh.. and pay 500 bucks to take the citizenship test.
And the illegals are demanding to have a citizenship, cheap and fast?
I am sorry my brothers, they have to do it the same way my parents did it, LEGALLY
I think they should pay for a permit to stay here, and start with the immigration process, and if they don't start, then be sent home.

Both.
I believe that those that have been here already for an extended period of time (5+ years0 should be given the opportunity to stay, not just automatically be deported. Almost like a grandfather clause. Those who recently came over should have to go back and try to come over the right way. I am a Mexican, but American. I don't know if my great great grandparents were legal or not, but I think that if you have had enough time to build a life here, and keep it stable for a longer period of time, and are not causing any additional trouble for anyone... then it is not fair for us to uproot you and steal everything that you fought so hard for.

i am so for letting them stay here. why are you people arguing over jobs that MOST OF YOU ARE TOO GOOD FOR OR TOO SORRY FOR. but so many people are being so ignorant but thats ok vote enough to send them back to their countries but they won't be the only ones not eating , because then there will be nobody here to pack all the food that you so hoggishly eat everyday selfishness will do nothing but come back to bite you right in the butt! thats why you think about everything before you open your mouth to speak!

Yes, it is right to send people back to their country when they are just trying to earn a living in a country they entered illegally. Why? Because living in this country means being a citizen of this country which means respecting the laws of this country which means having rights in this country.
And, Bush is indeed being unfair. His approach is far too lenient, and he is being unfair to not only the legal citizens of this country who are affected in numerous negative ways thanks to open borders, but he is also being unfair to the honest, law-abiding persons who are attempting to enter this country in the correct way, for the correct reasons.

First off, everyone on the planet is trying to earn a living
Send law breaking, illegal, foreign occupiers out, there is a proper way to immigrate.
Bush is in favor of illegal immigration, it satisfies all of his corporate buddies by making them more money. What? Bush is enough of a reconquista for you?
IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEGAL AND ILLEGAL IS, YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS ASKING THIS QUESTION
Save your heart rendering stories about poor illegals trying to earn a living, many Americans are just barely getting by, why should they pay for ILLEGAL FOREIGN OCCUPIERS?
It's just wrong

I am not for illegal immigration. But I have no problem with people coming to the US so that they can try and make a living and begin a new life. Weren't the first settlers in the US considered to be immigrants anyway? Seriously were they? I'm confused.
