The most common descriptive term is climate change rather than simply global warming.

Ocean currents are likely to change. Contenental areas that were once perfect for certain crops or for some species of animal will become too dry, too wet, too warm, or too cold. Other areas might become suitable for these crops, but this might be difficult to anticipate. Food sources will be disrupted and there will be starvation.

Fierce storms will rampage the coast lines and ocean levels will rise destroying large areas of habitat for humans and other species.

The benefits: Ignorance is bliss. We can enjoy the same high standard of living in the United States without changing our consumption habits or lowering our living standards until disaster strikes. Then "all the science will be in" and I'm sure that talk radio hosts will figure out a way to blame the liberals for the mess. It would be comical if it wasn't so deadly.

According to a documentary that i watch on the ABC in Australia. For the first 30-40 years of co2 levels at 350 ppm then this will cause increased plant growth. when the co2 levels reach about 500ppm then the plants won't be able to absorb any more co2 and the levels will have a detrimental effect on plants and the environment in general.

At least, the land will be expensive because there will be lesser place to live; you have more water to drink because the sea is expanding, and if you are a good swimmer, you can swim in a wider area.

It'll be warm? Real-estate will be at a premium because at full scale there *could* be less landmass. Buy stocks in sunscreen?

None really...unless you like hot weather----really hot weather, wrinkles and skin diseases related to UV rays...don't expect it immediately ...but gradually as times passes. I'm being dramatic but you get the idea. ;)
