I am getting married on a cruise and was thinking of putting together bags with beach items or cruise items for the guests that will also be going on the crusie...I came up wtih sunscreen, aloe, etc. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I thought Jess' answer looked pretty familiar, then I realized she lifted the entire thing from the post right above.

From Silver:
I agree with the others that aren't keen on CD favors - I think people stress out too much over picking songs for them, and almost nobody listens to them. It's hard to dictate musical taste, especially for something as personal as a wedding cd. However, on the plus side for you and your guests, CDs are small, thin and easily packable. They're also far less prone to melting like chocolates or candles.

Since you're basically doing a destination wedding, why not combine favor and souveneir for guests? How about a small ornament that can be personalized with your names and wedding date on the back or bottom? Maybe a seashell a lighthouse or even a tiny cruise ship.

I'd also suggest going edible if you can - chocolates, candies, gum, etc. are always a good choice for most any wedding, but you may need something sturdier and less prone to melting. I love the idea of doing Lifesavers for a cruise ship wedding, and who doesn't love lifesavers?

Here's some cute mint tins with a cruise ship:

A luggage tag is also a nice favor. These are a little pricey, but not too bad if you have a limited amount of guests:

Small seashell soaps in a pretty organza bag would also be a nice favor

Jess, if you're going to take someone else's answer, don't claim it as your own.

There is a fee for a marriage ceremony on a cruise ship. Not all ships have a wedding chapel. Contact the cruise line to find out which ships have this option and pricing.

A postcard w/ the ships picture on it,, a refridgerator magnet, w/ the name of an island you went to,, pens, keychains, purchased from the ships gift store.

When you are on an island buy cheap Maraccas,,those things you shake.. they are only a dollar, and you could bring along a paint pen, and write "Smith Wedding: Cozumel.. 2007" or something along those lines.

You don't have to give the bags to them at the beginning of the cruise... give them while waiting to unload off the boat.. Also, take snapshots of them, and get them devoloped on the boat, and make a small scrapbook for ur wedding party,, if there isnt' too many fo them.

You could also.. forget all the little items, and buy everybody a beach towel either beforehand, or purchase on from the ship: the negative thing about that is: they are 22 on ship, and 12-15 off ship.

To me : I would love to get things from the gift shop w/ the names of different islands you visited.. also,, if you look and buy them on the island: you can get keychains for a dollar as for magnets and pens.
Drinking mugs are a good idea too,, they are about 6 on the ship.

going to mexico: barter w/ them and you could get a mexican blanket for 3-5.. if you are buying a lot.

Also, wait till the last day to buy t-shirts on the ship//they are 2 for 20.00
Bon Voyage,,

those are great suggestions, but you may also think of cruise bucks. something they can use where ever they want for whatever they want on the cruise.
