food coloring will dye the skin and make the glass visible. Then you can pick a litte easier. If you have cornstarch in the house you can make moon-putty. Mix water into a couple of tablespoons cornstarch until it seems solid when you push on it and liquid when you don't . Apply this to the area and let it dry. It might draw it out, but it will soothe it.

Okay, the best thing to do now is to go to a clinic and have a doctor remove it.
They have special tweezers called "splinter forceps" that are sharp enough to take out....welll splinters and small pieces of glass. They might do an X-ray to confirm there is no more pieces of glass in the wound.

Mix some toilet soap and salt together. Apply to the problem area and cover it with a sticking plaster.
The grittiness of the salt will eventually work the glass out.
Stings a bit but my mother did this for me when I had a thorn in my finger and it worked!

I had to do this to my foot. Took a razor blade and carved into the skin until it was gone. I didn't have to go in too deep, but a finger is more sensitive than the bottom of the foot. Clean with hydrogen peroxide and alcohol. (more pain)
Or go to a doctor.

Try a moist piece of chewing gum, pull the sliver up, and then throw the whole thing away.
