I have a clean record and only been pulled over for no point infractions...I live in Michigan, I messed up and drove when I shouldn't have, my mistake and I totally understand that. I really don't wanna ever go back to jail, it was the worst night of my life...I'm reading that you can go to jail for first time offenders...what are the chances of me going to jail or what will happen to me now? Any info and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

OWI...is Operating While Intoxicated....i had all my paperwork with me...that wasn't the problem. I don't wanna to back to jail....I'll need a layer I see, but I just am so nervous. I have never been in any kind of trouble.

I don't understand...
First you say you have a "clean record" then,
you say you "don't want to go back to jail."

How can you have a clean record if you've already served time?

EDIT:
Ok, now I understand.

You're a first time offender and I doubt they're going to just throw you in jail. Probably get a fine, perhaps a suspended license, perhaps an alcohol program.

Just be respectful in front of the judge "yes your honor, no your honor".

Take your punishment and learn from it...make this your first and last time to get in trouble with the law. Now you know what it's like to go to jail, that should be deterrent enough.
Good luck!

Ok, I found this:
What Happens To First Time Offenders in Michigan?

When a driver is first arrested, he or she is required to stay in jail from 4 to 24 hours, depending on the blood alcohol level. Then, they will be arraigned to determine bond.
(sounds like this is what happened to you)

Michigan is a “0.07" State, meaning that any breath alcohol level over a 0.07 is a punishable criminal offense. Penalties vary depending upon whether you are a first offender, as well as the specifics of the situation, such as the actual blood alcohol content at arrest. Penalties include anything from fines, probation, driver license sanctions, and even car forfeiture and imprisonment. The penalties increase based on breath alcohol level and circumstances for the particular offense.

chill man. if you got 500 bucks right now and a job for the next couple weeks then you will not go to jail. you will pay some hefty fines, get some points on your driving record and your insurance will go higher.
cops and laws and things like that are a business. if you go to jail they gotta pay for you to eat, stay, shower, be watched and guarded; if you got the money, they would much rather take that.
a lawyer can help get fines instead of jailtime and can work things out (for a little money) to where your record doesn't get all messed up but you gotta get along with your lawyer cuz he might not try that hard to convince the prosecuting attorney.

I got an OWI & had to choose between 3 days in jail or 3 days in some alcohol rehab class, plus a fine, around $300. Oh, if you choose the class it costs, but your jail time is free!

Michigan is very tough against OWI/DUI. I happen to live in michigan too. Maybe you will get what you have coming. If you didnt want to go back to jail, then you should have thought about that before you broke the law. Have fun bein somebody's *****.

Be prepared to pay $ many thousands a year for car insurance. Also, a lawyer will cost you $ 1000.00 min.

As the signs in Pennsylvania say, DUI. You really can't afford it.
