Again, I ask you, why do you attack others!!?!?!? No, not all of you do, However, there are many of us that openly, and subtely, attack everyone else. Do you think this helps our cause? There are those that we will not reach, that is given, but there are many more who are on the fence and turned off by our rants and assaults against everyone else!! There is no reason for this. Yes, what we are taught is very specific, But... WE were not saved by hate and rants. WE were saved by compassion and forgiveness, the same things WE should be using to reach others.... You have told me to read the Bible in the past... My suggestion is that we all look again at it, look again at the LOVE that is the base of our Faith.... May the Stars light your path.....

There is a thin line between attacking and a bold stance. You can be bold without being rude and mean and you can be understanding without compromising the truth...you just have to work at it

I don’t see many Christians attacking anyone in this venue. To the contrary I see a lot of sniping at Christians and their beliefs, and the hate and rants you allude to are just not what I see Christian folk doing here. Most are trying to provide information when a serious question (yes I have seen one or two here) is asked.

Being true to our faith and not compromising our principles does not rise to the level of an attack. And I don’t mean to be judgmental here but for a “fellow Christian” you have a shall we say different take on Salvation.

We are saved by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and love is not the basis of Christian faith, Jesus of Nazareth is and if someone in the past has told you to read the Bible I’m thinking that they had good reason to. Oh, and btw, the light on my path is Jesus Christ.

Even the best Christian here (and who will claim that title? Not I said the frog) is not perfect. Sometimes, no matter how much we may regret it, someone pushes just the right button, or we're having a bad day, maybe, and we do, unfortunately, let our emotions rule our good sense. All we can do when that happens is to regret it, and to try harder not to do it again.
Meantime, we ought to try to support, and not judge one another. If you see another Christian popping off, offer them love and encouragement. Those watching need to see us behaving as a family, as well as walkig in the Light.
Mind, I am not disagreeing with you, you are right, of course. But we need to help others to understand that, just because we are Christians doesn't in any way mean we are perfect. If we were perfect, we would not need Jesus.
If we could admit this before others, it might impress them alot more than sanctimonious speeches about love. Why would any orphan wish to be adopted into a dysfunctional family? If we can't love one another, the kid will rightly reason, how can we love him?

God bless you.

Amen and I agree with you. BUT when Christians are being attacked , we need to stand strong and reply. Reply in a Christian way. To remain silent, is not good either. God didn't intend for us to be doormats, either. True Christians know Love and Respect. I Love the sentence of: May the Stars light your path. If Christians walk in the path of Light, there is no rants, assaults or hate. To walk in the path of Light, there is Love, Kindness, Compassion, and Respect for our fellow man/women/children. Amen.

Hear, hear... you're quite right.

He says to us: "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also." (Lk 6: 27-29). Through the apostle Peter, He says: Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." (1 Pet 3:15 -16)

Those people who hate us -- is it because of what we believe, or is it because of how we act in the world? It had better be the first one...

And I love the Tolkien reference! (Stars light your path...)!

There is one sad thing. What you say is true, but the longer you live and the more you have to tolerate people blaspheming God and since we are only human, there are times when we are going to lose it. The best we can do is ask God to help us do the best we can. He is perfect, we are not. We learn lessons from our mistakes and one of those is that we are never to try to talk to the anti-christ but sometimes as a human we goof up and thank goodness he forgives us. Search your Bible, we are to tell those who have never heard and who want to hear, but we are never to take on the ones who "CHOSE" not to believe.

I agree with you, but I also find it incredibly frustrating when people who are not Christians give rude replies to Christian questions. I know this does not include all non Christians, but there are a couple who are routinely insulting. I try to be fair to people of all beliefs and would just like the same respect in return.

We were saved by the grace of God and this not of ourselves nor of works lest anyone boast.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Unless a man knows what he is being saved from he is dead in his sins against a holy God. To tell a sin loving man that "Jesus loves you" is nice to say but there is no urgency for him because he loves his sin more than the savior. He needs to be warned that if he were to die today in his sins without Jesus, he would face the wrath of God and risk eternity in Hell. I say again. Eternity in Hell. He must know the truth. So the truth can set him free.

Look if religions would ceased to exist, maybe only maybe, wars will stop, and Aliens will come here... Before that, we are doomed!! So much stupidity and human foly... They are mostly a bunch of puppets at the hand of the few sick-minded that manipulate them, for the fun of it...
