You can't hide from global warming. That's why they call it GLOBAL warming. In case you didn't know, GLOBAL means ALL OVER THE WORLD.
But if you must insist, definitely not somewhere cold. It's melting before your eyes.

Most solar panel installations currently in use for homes are too small to actually run the home. That is why they remain hooked into the electricity grid and shut down during power failures.
Underground homes are very good for controlling temperature which is why most of the homes in Coober Pedy, South Australia are underground. This town is in the desert and until relatively recently didn't have any communal power source. Each home had it's own generator for lighting and some refrigeration/cooking needs but not enough for air-conditioning.
I doubt that any continent will be any better off than the one you are currently on, if you are concerned with sea levels rising then you should relocate to higher ground. Hiding won't help you.
In reality Global Warming is a natural phenomenon and very slow, despite Al Gore's misleading graphs. The temperature measuring stations that the data comes from are now almost all in urban areas which have increased in ambient temperature due mainly to the large expanses of asphalt and concrete not CO2.
Did anyone notice that when all air travel was shut down after 9/11 the skies cleared up and the temperature dropped a couple of degrees?
Perhaps the real solution to atmospheric pollution is to stop all air travel.

If you are anywhere other than within three feet of the ocean you should be fine (scientist except the the oceans will only rise between 14-21 inches due to global warming). I guess any place below sea level would probably be bad too.

I think someplace relatively high, say 1,000 feet above current sea levels and beyond the tropic of Cancer or Capricorn. In the past global climate change has pushed the tropical zones further out from the equator causing animals that live only in the hot jungles and deserts to migrate further towards the poles. The increased rain in those regions should actually produce more rainfall making them viable farming/agricultural areas.
Don't worry to much about it though. Historically and based on the current rate of change in the climate, you and I will be long dead before the climate makes any serious changes.

You would want a mountain far from any ocean, far from the threat of glaciers (global warming can trigger an ice age due to increased moisture in the air).
Probably eastern China near Tibet would be the best place, during the last ice age valleys in that area were untouched by glaciers. And rising ocean levels wouldn't reach that far.

I would say the Queenland tropics. They have a high mountian range. A good place to avoid sea level rising. Plenty of rainfall. Good young volcanic soil.
To all the greenhouse sceptics that seem to be about. Australia is experince the worst drought since european settlement. Thier are island of the coast of queensland that are disappearing. North Queensland had to absorb then . The causes of global warming may not be fully known but it is happing. Even if it is natural it is still going to have a profound effect on our World.

Global Warming is a trojan horse for Socialism, wake up Americans. Global warming is at the fore front because politicians found how to use a new platform to get re-elected. The world leaders use it because they found ways to make money at it. This is a made up problem just like Global Cooling in the 1970's. Wake up people. I agree we need to be more efficient with our resources, and we should fine and jail companies who are dumping into our rivers maliciously. I want to stop the raiforest destruction, but to say that global warming is a serious man made issue and we need to destroy the American economy and bow down to the rest of the world certainly does not float my boat. Follow the money on this one and you will see that it is all for political gain and grant money for those scientists who profit off of the government if global warming stays at the front of the issues. Look deep into the Keoto (sp?) Treaty, first of all they took jets to a non-central resort location. Not very environmentally concious. THen in the parameters of the treaty they have a clause that makes it so you can buy or sell polution credits. This is all about shifting wealth and breaking down the United States. This is painfully obvious, just look at peoples agenda. The earth's mean temperature has risen .6 degrees C in the past 125 years. Greenland's icecaps have gotten colder in the past 10 years. The Scientists who do not gain anything on their posisition will tell you that the earth has a natural progression and this is what we are seeing. The UN report is made up of POLITICIANS not a good spread of scientists. THere are as many or more scientists who believe that man in NOT the reason and it is over hyped, but their voice is not heard in the LIberal Mainstream Media. This issue is 99% political, and an attempt to make the USA a socialist nation, and eventually communisim. WAKE UP AMERICA, IT IS TIME TO BE AMERICANS. FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE. STOP THE LIES

The best location, would be on your own property with an underground home. Underground homes maintain a constant 68 deg yr round. But to grow crops would have to be above ground in and environmently contolled greenhouse. For water, get a well. Use solar power, and you have a home that would cost amlost nothing to maintain, and you would be protected from the sun's UV. You need some sun to stay healthy. You could always add skylights.

There's no place to hide, because the economic impacts will get you, if nothing else.
It will cost huge sums of money to move people away from coastal areas, replace what's lost to flooding, and to repair damage to agriculture. Add to that water shortages because of droughts throughout most of the civilized world.
