It will probably just give you an upset stomach, if it even does that.
The fact that you threw up could be all in your head. You saw the expiration date, got worries and made yourself sick.
You'll be fine. How much over was the expiration date? If only a few days, your fine. I eat expired yogurt all the time as long as it looks/smells/tastes ok. No reason letting food go waste. I have never been sick from eating food with an expired date.

The date code on food is more of a guideline for shelf life at the grocery store than a freshness guide. Think for a minute if you've ever seen an expiration date of bottled water--yes there is one, on a product that was formed with the earth!
(Actually that has more to do with the plastic bottle's breakdown characteristics)
A spoiled product can often be discovered by the appearance or smell. A large amount of separation in the yogurt or an abnormal texture would be a good reason to investigate or not use it. Cheeses are made by aging. They tend to be bad if moldy we say but in many cases the mold is what makes the cheese (not in the fridge though)!
Ultra-pasteurized means it's shelf stable as long as it's unopened, but must be refridgerated after opening. Yogurt might not culture well that way, I don't know.
If it looks bad/smells bad/tastes bad, the general rule of thumb says it's a duck...bad. If 1 example makes you ill and nobody else gets ill from similar product, consider any allergies as well. If you're alone, look at others and their packaging. Be aware that things will keep longer if frozen for a while, some won't, and it should be used very shortly after thawing. WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT.
The date is a guide from the maunfacturer as to how long a shelf life they recommend for best quality. Liquid dairy and cultured milk products like cottage cheese and yogurt are things to ask about, especially if close or over the pull date. Many grocers will replace or credit you if you can explain that you stored it within a reasonable manner or discover it was simply defective without when you opened it.
If you are concerned with your health, as always, consult a healthcare provider. The fact that you became ill enough to bring it back up is a good sign as your stomach spasms like that when it's irritated and it's your first line of defense (gross, yet true) against sickness.

You don't know for sure, do you, if the yogurt was to blame for you throwing up, or if it was due to something else. Expired simply means that the product should be eaten before the expiration date to insure its freshness and better quality. It's usually still good for several days after the expiration date. It's not likely that yogurt, even expired yogurt, would make you sick. Yogurt has already undergone a fermentation process by its cultures, even when it's just made. Okay, so you got sick, but I doubt if anything further will happen.

YOU expire... merely joking. actual, it relies upon on what the nutrients is. If it extremely is expired poultry, as an occasion, you danger salmonella. distinctive ingredients 'expire' at distinctive expenses for various motives. The expiration date is for 2 motives, one million- the nutrients is at it extremely is optimal high quality and style in the previous this date, and a pair of- secure practices. you need to use the expiration dates on crackers and on milk as examples. Milk is quite obtrusive while it extremely is expired. Gee, why no longer purely have a sip of the bitter curds? because of the fact it extremely is rank and additionally you will possibly be able to desire to finally end up with a abdomen soreness. Crackers on the different hand get stale after their expiration date and don't style as crisp, yet you likely does no longer wretch if somebody tried to jam one down your throat, the two...

It sounds like you have given yourself mild food poisoning. Call your nearest poison control center and see what they tell you to do. I think you'll be fine.
