Dear God:

Why didn't you save the school children ?.

Sincerely,

Concerned Student
Reply:
Dear Concerned Student:
Sorry,
I am not allowed in schools.
Sincerely, God
How did this get started?...
Let's see,
I think it started when Madeline Murray O'Hare complained
She didn't want any prayer in our schools.
And we said, ok
Then, someone said you better not:
Read the Bible in school;
the Bible that says
"thou shalt not kill,
Thou shalt not steal,
And love your neighbors as yourself,"
And we said, OK...
Dr. Benjamin Spock said
We shouldn't spank our children
When they misbehaved
Because their little personalities
Would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem.
And we said,
An expert should know what he's talking about
So we won't spank them anymore.

Then someone said
Teachers and principals better not
Discipline our children when they misbehave.
And the school administrators said
No faculty member in this school
Better touch a student when they misbehave
Because we don't want any bad publicity,
And we surely don't want to be sued.
And we accepted their reasoning...
Then someone said,
let's let our daughters have abortions if they want,
And they won't even have to tell their parents.
And we said, that's a grand idea.
Then some wise school board member said,
Since boys will be boys
And they're going to do it anyway,
let's give our sons all the condoms they want,
So they can have all the fun they desire,
And we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school.
And we said, that's another great idea...

It seems plausible, given the decline in public education since God was outlawed in public schools. But, many people say God was not outlawed, just the public profession of belief. Nothing prevents the private profession of belief.

So, let's see if I got this right. No children died in schools before the US Supreme Court outlawed school prayer. I have a feeling that the second part of this question is going to be as equally meaningless as this part.

God hasn'r been taken out of schools. People can still pray, it just can't be school sponsored. Plus if god was so powerful how can man made laws keep him out of anywhere. It goes to show that people will try to use horrible tragedies to further their own selfish agendas.

Yeah, let's force everyone to pray the same way!

Yeah, let's let our kids contract horrible and deadly diseases because they didn't know any better and no one ever explained it to them!

Actually, the Catholics took prayer out of the schools. And good for them. You can't force people to pray to your god. It just makes them hate you in the end.

"Dear Concerned Student:
Sorry,
I am not allowed in schools. "

Cuteness of this spam ends right here.

This is nothing more than retarded religious propaganda, also perpetuating the fallacy of correlation between removing mandated religion from taxpayer-funded public schools.

Separation of Church and State, spanky. It's a wonderful thing.

I think your actually ON to something here (apart from the God thing).

I grew up in the "old" culture that you mention.....in those days it only took ONE Policeman in the town to control the entire population...if he actually pulled out his notebook and took your name, you just KNEW that you were in deep trouble...there were NO "seiges", there were NO Ombudsmen, there were probably less people in jail, you could leave your home unlocked.....

Now, with the substantial progress we have made, it takes a busload of police (maybe more) to surround your house and "talk you out", because you have "RIGHTS"

As civilization seems to be getting worse and worse maybe all these great ideas every one has been following aren't all that great.
