For people that do, why do you?
I really want to, but it's hard for me to, because right now I think it's just something people make up to make them comfortable with death and so they have an answer to stuff we will never know.(ex. Where we came from, is there life after death etc.)

It seems logical and plausible that some higher power is/was responsible for whatever led to the creation of the universe as we know it. Things don't "just happen".

Because He answered when I asked.

I grew up in a closed-minded Christian Church. Like a lot of people, as I grew older and asked questions, I got some pretty lame answers. As an adult, I left that church.

But in my life, I had experience things not clearly explained by empirical concepts, either. Not being one to ignore those things so I could pat myself on the head and say I was oh-so-logical, I sought the truth to all the things I had experienced.

Finally, I felt that if God existed and wanted something from me, He would be willing to let me know. So I asked Him.

He did, 25 years ago, and that worked for me.

As a child I was conditioned by the catholic church & upbringing to believe in God. As I grew up I studied different religions seeking an answer to my questions. Today, I consider myself to be spiritual & I am fascinated with mystisim. I believe there is some kind of supreme being that created life in all things. This supreme being could be what we call God. God has given us a chance to love each other & to appreciate what we have by not being destructive as we tend to be on occassion. I strongly believe in the Ten Commandments because it's a disciplinery boundary that keeps us from going against him. Is there life after death? I say yes there is....I have proof. My grandfather died when I was 15. He had stomach cancer & had to have surgery, the family did not think he would make it out of surgery. My sister in law was real close to my grandfather & she asked him to come back & give us some kind of a sign if there was life after death.....the night he died (in hospital) we saw a huge halo of beautiful colored lights in the sky...a borielius shinning down onto my grandfather's house through most of the night. We have never had them here in the valley before. It was my grandfather giving us a sign that there WAS life after death.. Since that night I have had other events take place showing me that life does exist on the astral plane. Whether you choose to believe me is totally up to you. But life does exist in other forms other than earth as we know it. P.S.. We found out the next morning that my grandfather died during surgery.

We believe in God because, for one thing, we never run around trying to figure out where He came from, or try rationalize, why Jesus died for us, or if there is a heaven or hell. If you really want to, then stop trying so hard not to.

The objective is not to believe, but rather it is to "know".
Ye shall know the truth... shall make you free of believe.
Only those who "know not" require constant forgiving.

No God, Know Problem. ... Law
Know God, No Problem. ... Grace

He taketh away the first,
to establish the second.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

That will take some work on your part.
He is the power of living...not just dying.
And He does give us answers to things we don't know on our own. I can't imagine living without Him.

I believe in Him because I KNOW He is there. I feel it. I see it in creation. He answers my prayers and blesses me. And I know it from reading His Word. If you listen to nay-sayers...they will keep you from Him.
