Absolutely! The beauty of this whole thing is it is your wedding day, and the choice is yours. Nothing else mattters on this, your special day. Only you and your husband-to-be should make decisions that will impact the day. Weddings can be overwhelming, and well-meaning family members can add to the stress by contributing unsolicited advice and suggestions. The bottom line is, it's your choice. do what feels right to you, and the day will be perfect, etched forever in your memory. When you recall it in years to come, the memories will be sweet and precious. I hope you will continue to put as much effort into your marriage as you put into the wedding day. It is so rewarding to invest in your partner and your marriage, which lasts a lifetime. This is an investment that pays you huge rewards and dividends.
Be married to your best friend, and work a it to keep it that way! You will never regret all the work that goes into maintaining your relationship with the man who thinks you hung the moon. Best wishes to the both of you. May you have a long, prosperous, happy, fulfilled lifetime of memories together!

My dad and I danced to that song at our reception. I wouldn't recommend it for walking down the aisle, since it puts the focus on you and your dad instead of you and your new hubby. What about "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds Five? My bridesmaids walked down the aisle to that (just on the piano, but using the words too would be SO sweet.) It's a very sweet and romantic song.

Why would you want to walk down the aisle to that? How does your husband feel about that ? That's a beautiful song but should be for the father/daughter dance not the moment you are walking towards your husband.

I Loved Her First-by Heartland is a Wonderful song. However it is more from a fatherly point of view vs a here I am presenting myself to my intended. Maybe try My Wish-by Rascal Flatts or the new one by Big and Rich Lost in this Moment
My Wish by Rascal Flatts:
I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,
But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.
But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.
Lost in this Moment by Big and Rich:
See your mama and the candles and the tears and roses
I see your daddy walk his daughter down the isle
And my knees start to tremble as I tell the preacher
Don't she look beautiful tonight?
All the wonderful words in my head I've been thinkin'
Ya know I wanna say em all just right
I lift your veil and angels start singing
Such a heavenly sight
Lost in this moment with you
I am completely consumed
My feeling's so absolute
There's no doubt
Sealing our love with a kiss
Waited my whole life for this
Watching all my dreams come true
Lost in this moment with you
I smell the jasmine floatin' in the air like a love song
Watch my words draw sweet tears from your eyes
Bow our heads while the preacher talks to Jesus
Please bless this brand new life, yeah
Lost in this moment with you
I am completely consumed
My feeling's so absolute
There's no doubt
Sealing our love with a kiss
Waited my whole life for this
Watching all my dreams come true
Lost in this moment with you
Lost in this moment with you
I am completely consumed
My feeling's so absolute
There's no doubt
Sealing our love with a kiss
Waited my whole life for this
Watching all my dreams come true
Lost in this moment with you
Lost in the moment
In this moment with you
Lost in the moment
Lost in the moment
In this moment with you
Lost in the moment

I think it's a great idea. One you're having a non-traditional wedding which means you don't have to go by any rules. And it's your wedding. I think it's a great idea. And ignore the people who are putting you down, it's not their wedding and it's yours. If you and your soon to be think it's a great idea then go for it.

This special day belongs to you and your soon to be husband. You can have any song you wish and in the nicest way I say ignore any naysayer that says otherwise.
Enjoy the day!
PS: Congratulations on a non-traditional wedding, love it!

I don't think it would be appropriate to walk down the aisle to that song, since that song should be about you and your fiancee.
You could dance to that song with your Dad at the reception.

I think it might fit better as the father/daughter dance.
