Only those who spend all day watching "The View" or "Oprah". Of course, if they spend all day watching these programs, one has to wonder just how strong a grip they had on reality to begin with...

Do you mean the show Desparate Houswives? Or do you mean women who stay home and raise children instead of having to send them to daycare and working a different job instead?

As for the show, it was never realistic. Lol.

As for the real women whose career title is "Mom," I think they are in no way out of touch with reality. They have the same access to 24 hour news as the rest of us. So what if they suppliment that with Baby Einstein? What job is more important in the world than raising good little people?

Now, I suppose you could be meaning the woman who is just spoiled by a sugardaddy, but I wouldn't call those housewives. I'd call them something more derrogatory probably. They might be out of touch with reality. Anyone who never has to work for herself--or who lives in California--is probably not quite reality based.

Each person's existence is reality for them .
Housewives are not experienced in a soldiers reality,
Nor is the soldier experienced in the housewives .
Each is it's own and does Not negate the others existence .
Housewives are in touch with the reality of rearing the offspring from their family and sometimes with caring for the elders as they loose the ability to function .

I hope not...then I'm doomed. I spend all day transporting kids, cooking, cleaning, paying bills, doing the banking, grocery shopping, laundry. BUT it seems like kids are so troubled nowadays, maybe because parents AREN'T staying home with their kids anymore--so many single parents trying to work and raise their families at the same time. I feel lucky that I get to stay home and watch them grow up.
So, I hope I haven't, I read the news every morning and try to stay up to date. Staying at home to take care of the house is really like a job. I don't watch TV and eat bon bons all day if that is what you are implying. I know some housewives who's husbands do everything for them...in my opinion they are lazy.

Why because they choose to stay at home? Just because a woman chooses to stay at home doesn't mean she loses touch with reality some women are more in touch with reality than those who work outside of the home not to mention the relationship they can develop with their kids as opposed to the daycare who you have to pay for

If there is no regular contact with those who are part of the social order of movers & shakers; yes. If they are catering to the needs of the kids all the time without that kind of interpersonal 'adult' relationships

bible; 'wives are to be the keepers of the home'. I know Titus 2;5 will help explain this.
