I would love to believe that Iran only wants nuclear technology to generate electricity. The problem is that the leaders of Iraq have a little credibility problem just like the leaders of this country have one.

Like most countries in the world, Iran has a rich anthropological history, full of diversity. Not only did the Persians, Assyrians and Aryans plant roots there, but the Mongols also conquered that territory at some point.

As for your second question, it has always been the goal of the USA and UK to control energy supplies in the middle east. They once controlled Iran, first through British imperialism, and then through America's support of the Shah. After the Iranian revolution, the west lost control of the region and there has been conflict on and off ever since.

Iran is the land of the Persians. It has an awesome history. I sure would hate to see all the ancient archeology sites bombed as in Iraq. India is the land of the Aryans and Babylon or rather Iraq is the land of the Assyrians. I don't know why there can't be experienced, committed diplomats solving any disagreements we may have with these noble peoples. Instead we have crooks representing Americanand EU interests every where. I am sure there are ways to work out our fears and disagreements with each other without murder, mayhem and shock and awe destruction of some of the oldest most significant historical sites in the world.

Yes Iran is the Land of all you mention, but so is Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan ect. Those cultures have been bred out or moved 1000's of years ago. What is left in modern day Iran is not much in terms of culture. We are against Iran becoause therir leader is a nut like Kim Jong Il. He is very very dangerous with alot of power. Modern day Iranians are great people and generally do not support what is going on there.

It's the land of the Perisans and Aryan people, NOT Assyrians.

Assyrians are from Assyria/Mesopotamia, and are a Semitic people. They speak modern Aramaic today [language Jesus spoke] and were the first group of people to accept Christianity.

Iran is the former Persia. Beats me as to why the repugs would want to start yet another war when, as I can see, they cannot finish even the first two. Perhaps they see another war as another money-making opportunity for all of their cronies in the war defense contracting companies.....
