i am baptist-- i was saved yesterday it changed my life forever. When I pray and speak about my religion and relationshp with god, i get emotional... why is this?

When the Holy Ghost speaks to our hearts, he gives us such sweet and beautiful feelings that they fill us up. Then we cry.
God must approve of your good choice.
Advice from someone who's been there:
Write down the way you feel, because you will not feel this way 24/7. When you come down from the Spirit's high, it will help you to remember how you felt yesterday and today. Then keep your words where you can read them - maybe with your Bible.

Because you are feeling closer to God and are understanding the comfort of his love. You should know, however, that He is still always close to you, inside of you, no matter whether there is a religion or not. I am glad you feel the spirit of God and the love that goes with everything. It is ok to feel emotional.

Well, that's a pretty life changing experience you just had, I am sure your emotions must be running pretty high right now, you just had something very moving happen to you....I am sure that things will calm down after awhile, but you're just really emotional for the time being is all....Good luck to you.....

Because you are being touched by the holy ghost and the love God has for us is overwhelming. Don't feel embarassed, I cry all the time at church, all my emotions are so on the surface.

It is a common thing. You are realizing how unworthy you are to receive His forgivness and grace. You are experiencing His total and overwelming love. It is very emotional just like with husbands and wives.

On occasion it happens to me, too. My theory is that your heart is so full it's spilling out your eyes.
