that my idea would be cool if i were turning 5. sounds fun and all but my friends are like WTF!
that's the least expensive way i can think of at this moment and at such late notice.
ive invited about 60ppl and have a bbq.
we're plannign on going to a club after but. im just thinking over this whole park thing.

if someone who was turning 23 inviting you to their birthday at a park what would you think?

and do you have any suggestions for what i can do instead? (remember it's on the 28th of April) less than 5 days!!!

I would call the park dept. and see if you have to make a reservation when you are having that many people. Also, if you are planning to serve anything alcoholic, make sure it is permitted.

Other than that, I think it's a great idea! We have parks that have shelters, so even if it's raining, no one will get wet. Tell people to bring a folding lawn chair. And be sure to clean up any messes before you leave.

Have a great birthday!

That's exactly what I did for my boyfriend's 21st party . . . and it turned out to be pretty cool! We've been to a lot of park parties for lots of ages . . . it's all about the people you're with - not the place. The only thing is you may be pooped afterwards to go to the club (I'm always pooped after I party/bbq I put together!). If you go to a park where you can stay late (which is what we did), you can keep partying with a bon-fire in the bbq . . . and just hang out. If not the park, are you near the beaches or a lake? Have a happy birthday!
