I would say eight out of ten people suffer from it, if that gives you an idea. More people have symptoms but don't tell anyone about it. See a doctor- it is not embarassing in the least. You might just get help and feel better.

Depression and anxiety are everywhere, and the more we talk about it, the more we think we have it, the more we think we have it, the more we seek doctors advice, doctors get tired of seeing you for things that can't be proved so they give you drugs, which re-inforce your idea of mental sickness.

In the old days you would be told to "snap out of it" and Don't be such a baby, and since you didn't get sympathy , you would get on with your life and forget about this stuff.

So take your pick, you can have it any way you want.

Most people do not suffer clinical depression, even when diagnosed (to get rid of you) and anxiety is a way to get legal drugs, or avoid dealing with normal life.

Everyone experience depression at one time or another. It all depends on how you deal with it. Anxiety disorders are some times related to what we have eaten or not eaten.

It's very common. No one realizes how common until it happens to them, once I was diagnosed with depression and told a friend she went on and on about everyone else who has it and it's amazing that it's everywhere

Depression is the most common cause of anxiety. Medications may not be necessary if family support is available, and more so if it can be identified early.
