Here's an easy one that tastes great and looks like you're a pro.
Ingredients:
Shrimp or prawns, tails off - 30 - 40
2 Tbsp Balsamic vinegar salad dressing
1/2 tub of garlic and herb cream cheese
1/2 Tomato
2 - 3 Green Onions
Marinate prawns in balsamic vinegar for at least 20 minutes in fridge. While marinating cut tomatoes into small chunks(halved cherry tomatoes are very nice) and onions.
Heat skillet and throw in shrimp, including marinate, medium heat. Stir often. When shrimp are getting pink add the other ingredients, cover.
Make angel hair pasta and by the time it's ready (3 min cook time) so is you shrimp sauce.
You can add mushrooms, peppers, whatever you like to change this dish up.

The easiest recipes are ones where you cook the meat and the sauce separately and later add the sauce to the meat. Once of my favorites is below, you can vary it to your tastes, it's written for four, but it can be halved:
Chicken with lemon-basil sauce
4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
4 cloves garlic
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp basil
pepper, to taste
Cook chicken in a pan on stove until juices run clear and the center is no longer pink (this can be checked by cutting into the thickest part of the chicken). Set aside and cover.
Smash garlic and peel. Pour salt over garlic and finely chop.
In a sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken broth, lemon juice and minced garlic. Simmer until sauce reaches desired consistency (it should coat the back of a spoon for a thick sauce). Add basil and pepper to taste, serve spooned over chicken.
Have faith in your cooking abilities, and don't be afraid to experiment!! Good luck!

Ne-thing pasta is easy. Try getting some frozen tortellinis and pasta sauce (i like classico). All you do is bring a big pot of water to a boil and drop the frozen tortellinis in and wait about 7-10 min. Mean wile heat up he pasta sauce. Lastly, when the pasta is tender mix the two together and you got yourself a meal... To dress it up put some fresh Parmesan cheese on top and prepare some cheesy garlic bread.

Pasta is one of the easiest things ever. Even home made soup is not all that hard. Meatloaf, baked potatoes, corn on the cob.. Go to your local library or look up things online. There are tons of sites that give you good meal ideas with things that are usually found in your home..

Stir fry is very easy ---
Get some of your favorite veggies (I use snow peas, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, onions, baby corn, water chestnuts, and bamboo shoots), and put them in a frying pan with a little bit of vegetable oil. Cook on high until they're done how you like. I usually mix some soy sauce in with the oil.
