Clove oil or anbesol. Also a pharmacist told me you can take acetaminophen with an NSAID (ie naproxen, aspirin or ibuprofen) at the same time (because the tylenol is filtered thru the liver and the others thru the kidneys).Ask a doctor or pharmacist if this is ok for you to do.

Take 800mg. ib profen every 4-6 hrs. it will reduce the inflamation.avoid hot and cold in the mouth if the nrve is inflamed it will flare it up again. Good Luck call your dentist first thing in the morning so they can work you in it is hard on Mon. because they already have a full schedule snd more emergency. Oral gel doesn't work

even the dentist will tell you, a bag of frozen peas against it, and you can gargle with warm salt water. I just had ten needles and five hours of drilling! thank god for Advil.

take 2 tylenols, get a bag of ice and wrap a paper towel around it, place it on your cheek where it hurts, if you feel like going to the grocery store they have a numbing liquid in the dental aisle.

I know it sounds funny, but I use teething gel. Or you can use a toothace gel.
