Fart is a natural exposure of the human body.People fart all the times.Some by accident,others for fun and others because is not choice.If the person who was with you farted,perhaps one of the reasons was above.I think is not big deal if you're in a open place.If not,just the word I'm sorry is fine.Not a big deal.
