Some dealers offer no down payment for the first 30 days, so you may need 1st down payment at the end of 30days. You may need to check the contract in detail.

Always remember that there is no free lunch.

If, it not in the contract you can either make a down payment, not make a down payment, or, give the car back. It your call. I have noticed car dealers are beginning to do this more to scam extra money after the sale. They did this with my Nephew about 2 weeks after they bought a new car. Said they needed to pay an extra $1,200. AND it was not in the contract!

That sounds a bit odd. I'd listen to their explanation first, but offer no payment. You have been paying the monthly payments, never late and all that, right?

It's possible that they tried to get a loan for you w/ no money down, but they can't get it, they need the down payment, but that doesn't make sense either.

Get a reason, then contact a local consumer advice group for assistance.
