We haven't had a global war for over 60 years, despite having the power to exterminate each other we haven't, our life expectancy has doubled, we can cure many diseases and control others and we can immunise our children against illness.
We have free education, social security if we can't work, access to public libraries, the right to say what we want without fear or reprisal and can largley walk our own streets safely without the need to hire bodyguards.
We have travelled into space and have seen the Earth from above. We know that there are other planets and stars out there and it's almost certain we are not alone.
Thinhs are, of course, still not great in some parts of the world but - slowly and surely - we are pulling ourselves up by our bootstraps.
Maybe it's tiem to think about what we can fo today rather than worrying about soemthign that's failed to happen for 2,00 years despite things being much, much worse than they are today.
What say you?

Actually, the Mexicans attacked US soil way before 9/11. In addition your own terrorists were there way before (McVeigh, etc).

the world IS getting better. The fact you can sit safely in your house browsing the interent - which requires electricity and a global communications net - demonstrates this.

Morals are a lot better - slavery is illegal as is racial and sexual discrimination. In addition there are firm controls on prostitiution and drugs.

1) But not global war. Thanks for paying attention.
2) So... people are dying of black plague and small pox in huge numbers are they?
Uh huh.
3) Except education is also given to the children of non-taxpayers.
4) You may be getting arrested but you're not being burnt at the stake.
5) Crime statistics are recorded. In the US and UK they are flat or falling.
You could go on but you'd just look like an even bigger idiot. :)

If there was ever a time for the End Times to come, it would've been during the Black Plague.
Or during a Barry Manilow concert.

The world is getting better? I must not have gotten that memo. I'm not a Christian, so I don't believe in any Apocolypse or end times....but c'mon. Healthcare? Schools? Violence? We may not have plagues rampant today, but AIDS, cancer, and many other deadly diseases are on the rise.
WOW. 60 years without a global war. Not that we didn't try, but the rest of the world seems to have more sense than Dubya. Thank goodness.
Social security? It will be gone in 40 years, just in time for most of us to not get anything. Cost of living has increased over 30% in the last 10 years, but wages have not. And did we forget about the recent surge in the effects of global warming, and all of the hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis? And don't EVEN get me started on the state of politics in the U.S.
We've had the right to say what we want for quite some time now. But it still gets shushed enough by the higher ups to not make a difference in the world anyway. Right now-the percentage of Americans that supports the war in Iraq is in the vast minority, but is it bringing our troops home?
There is no "end of times". But while you were having sunshine and rainbows for breakfast, there were STILL millions of people in the world starving.

You ask what say you?
Global war? silly, we are at war, there are may wars being fought all over, or have you not watched the news? just because it is not a Worl War does not mean that wars are going on.
Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Did you read that? famines, Pestilences (Africa) earthquakes in Divers places (India)
Curing diseases? everytime we cure a Disease another comes in, Our fruits and vegitables being produced are bearing less and less nutritional value.
Free education? poppycock! What do you think you pay taxes for? comes out of your paycheck doesn't it?
Right to say what we want without fear of reprisal?!
Bull Stuff!! then why are Christians being arrested for speaking the word of God and being charged with hate crimes?! http://www.repentamerica.com/videos.html
I guess you have not heard, it is against the Law the preach from the Bible in Canada and in Switzerland., we are next.
Pastor John Haggee of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio Tx has to have Body guards because he is so hated notably from the islamic community
And no, we do not know almost certain that there is life out there, that is sheer secular speculation.
We have rising crime all over this world.
2Ti 3:1 ¶ This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
You know, I can go on and on, I just got started, but people won't read much more.

I think that you have missed a lot of major points, like 911 when we were attacked for the first time ever on our national soil..
Probably the biggest sign of the end is the DMV when you have to personally go there for some payment. That is eternal and more confusion than anyplace I know of

the end is coming but who can say when.(I wont get all religious on you so relax) But all good things must inevitably -come to an end. everything has an opposite-good has evil, happiness has sadness. Its just the way things are. Yeah right life is grand, life is rich, everything is just peachy. so enjoy it, live it up while you can. However a little dose of reality for you, right now my life could be better and somewhere out there are literally hundreds of thousands in this land of milk and honey we call the USA who dont have it so good. Many dont have jobs for one reason or other, some are starving, theres still racial hatred, serial killers, gunmen who attack innocent students, aids is still there as is cancer, children are suffering, americans lose jobs to foreignors, the prisons are full of psychos, drugs run rampant, natural disasters, american
soldiers dying every day.what did i miss? oh yeah, our elderly get abused, uh, pedophiles, sickos, pervs, crackheads, potheads,sh**heads....BUT HEY AINT LIFE SWELL

I disagree with most of what you said. The world situation seems to get worse every day. Morals have went down the toilet. Drugs are running rampant. Violent crimes are more violent than ever. I wonder where you live. I think I should move there.

You're funny.
"Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape."

Oh, they're coming all right - in fact, the antichrist has already been born.
At least, that's what St. Martin of Tours wrote, and he lived in the fourth century.
Yeah, predicting the end times is older than christianity.
