I have suffered from panic attacks - it's very frightening. As I felt my mind was playing tricks on me, I tried to reverse this. Instead of thinking "I am going to have a panic attack" I think "I am NOT going to have a panic attack". It seems to have worked as I hardly ever have them now. I also gave up smoking which has really helped me with this. Just try and imagine you are confident and in control. Try EVERYTHING before you go for medication - it's a short term solution which will make you feel worse. Learn to relax, breath properly and take 20 minutes of exercise a day - that is enough to give you the extra seritonin you need to get that natural feel good factor. Good luck. x

Whether you have panic attacks or anxiety attacks, try Aconite 30c. It's a homoeopathic remedy you can buy from the chemist. You will know quickly if they are helping or not & as soon as you find relief, stop taking them. If these don't help you after a few days, consult a registered Homoeopath who will be able to find the right remedy for you. Go to http://www.homeopathy-soh.org/ to find a local practitioner. I treat a lot of people just like you in my practice & once you get the remedy, the problem is relieved.

Deep breathing (into your lower abdomemn instead of just the upper) is the most natural way to get rid of a panic attack, but for long term therapy works best. Just try to find a therapist who will work with you on other treatments than meds.
By the way there are two books I just got (highly recomended
but I haven't read them yet): Instant Calm by Paul Wilson, and The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook by Edmund J. Bourne, PH.D.

Panic and anxiety attacks are the main feature
of the classic disorder known as "depression."
There are many treatments for it, but of course,
not all of them work for everyone: some might
actually counter-act any prescription medication
you're taking for something else.
So, to coin a common TV commercial phrase:
"Ask your doctor or pharmacist."
Best of health & good luck.

There are multiple kinds of disorders that deal with anxiety. Although most can manifest in similar ways, these disorders generally occur due to different events in your life. Natural home remedies for anxiety https://tr.im/fbr8X
Generalized anxiety disorder includes persistent and unnecessary worries about everyday, common events or activities, which can disrupt concentration and lead to other issues, such as depression.

Counselling or psychotherapy will often help anxiety. They both also stand more chance of a long term solution than medication. See your GP who can refer you for either.
