Depends who you talk to, Americans have always objected to any administration sending young soldiers to war. although the ave age in Vietnam was 19, it was 24 in WWII and 29 in the American revolution, it is 26 in Iraq (a lot of guard and reserve ). I have one son over there now (21) he is a paratrooper, my older son was 24 and 25 for his two deployment to Iraq in the USMC. also had a nephew there (23) and several old friends from when I was in ,and there all bumping up against retirement (40-45, for some 25+years). none are begging to go to war, but none are crying not to. they volunteered to join the service, now if we had a draft, that would be some cause to be against things, but no one twisted there arms to join, and they seem to see the bigger picture of the cause, then the media pumps out. and unless you have close contact with those servng, you only get the media's view. So it depends who you talk at.

Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle. When you men here, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the handiest kid with his fists, the Big League ball players, the all-American football players. Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser, Americans play to win all the time and every time I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a soldier who lost and laughed.

I don't think US troops should be fighting a war in Iraq for the security of Israel.
Neocons had been planning an invasion of Iraq 5 Years BEFORE 9/11 even happened & it had nothing to do with fighting the war on terror but had everything to do w/ protecting Israel from Saddam (who they compared to Hitler).

US soldiers should not die as Israel mercenaries.
Only the poor kids are hired as soldiers by money and get killed. Would these soldiers hired by money die willingly for their country?
Change it to conscription and draft children of those who support the war, like the legislation proposed by Rep. Rangler.

the war has no purpose.
iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.
iraq has nothing to do with american security.
and most of all, we're never going to get any payback for 9/11 in iraq...
