I have pictures of my prom dress (that I'm aiming for) posted around my room and my workout area so that I can think "I really wanna look good in that" and just go for a light run or some yoga or something.

But if I'm physically not feeling well, I may stretch a little or just eat something healthy to make myself feel better.

Get somebody to workout with. You both could keep each other motivated... you wouldn't want to let him/her down by being lazy, would you?

Buy some workout clothes that you think you look good in to exercise in... if you like them a lot, you'll want to wear them a lot.

And think about how much healthier you'll feel and look after you exercise.

Get out in the sun!

It is proven that sunlight has the effect of lifting your mood (something to do with your brain chemistry...etc).

So, go out, catch some good sunlight (I'm not saying go get sunburnt)... then come back and get workin' baby!!

Or, why not workout in the sun? Get a good game of tennis, a good hour's jog with your iPod or even a 10 mile cycling?

Still not motivated? How about a getting a workout buddy?

The chance to look at good looking people in the gym with nice bod certainly helps me!! I am gay and of course all the testosterone in the gym goes a long way to motivate me to go to the gym regularly. I usually go after work on Tuesdays and Thursday and Saturday morning! And as a rule never plan anything during those days so that I won't have an excuse not to go - no exceptions!! Plus after while - you will get to enjoy the endorphins after each session.

I hate those days when I can't be bothered going to the gym, they make me feel slack, I guess it's guilt that motivates me, and the thought of how fit I shall be if I continue going and that's important to me.

Goals. I try to write down my goals...a race time...a weight...etc.. And on those hard days, I just get out of bed and get it done because goals are met one day at a time...one workout at a time...one step at a time...one push-up at a time. Start with the first step and before you know it the workout will be done. Good luck!
