i think snake bites looks a lot better.. but then again, i have never seen two monroes, so if you want something unique, i say go for it!!! neither one hurts, but if you are going to choose on pain alone, they feel the same. it is the exact same piercing, just in a different place. as with all other piercings, it only hurts while piercing, and usually is only sore for a day or two after. just be sure to clean with sea salt soaks and you should be fine.
good luck and enjoy! and if you do the 2 monroes, will you post a pic? i would love to see what that would look like. i am a piercing addict and can honestly say i've never seen that!!

Well, I have my monroe pierced, and it looks great. I'm not too sure how two monroes would look, though.
I am a big fan of snakebites, also. I'm getting them done soon.
But I think I'll have to say, go with snakebites.
They look much better.

but if you really want your moroes done, get them. Don't let anyone on a site tell you to get something you don't want.

As for the pain, my monroe didn't hurt until the last layer, which felt like a small pinch. I imagine that your lip would be the same.

monroe's tend to hurt more while getting pierced because the area is *slightly* thicker than on your lower lip. additionally, monroes cause more problems during and after healing--because of the placement, they tend to rub on the gums and teeth more than lower lip piercings do.

hope this helps

neither one hurts at all...i have both a monroe & a lip piercing, & neither one was the least bit painful...it`s over very quickly, so it`s only uncomfortable for a second...

Pain should be the last thing on your mind if you want a pericing-unless you are a poser and you are only in it for the after look...
