Are most religions really peaceful if followed in their true form? I think it was buddha who said the world would be at peace if all religions were practiced as they were suppose to be.
For example, I think Islam would be a very peaceful religion if they actually followed thier quran.

Only Buddhism preaches and practises Peace and Non-violence-other Religions do lip service to "Peace" and practice total cheating and Violence to spread their religion.Many people thing the number 1.0/1.5/2.0 Billion decides the Greatness of their Religion--I am not a Buddhist-Iam a hindu

Even though they are meant to be none of the religions are peaceful and none of them practice what they preach.. all the fighting/sacrifices throughout history most are rooted in religion because everyone thinks thier religion is right and everyone else's is wrong. For this reason I choose not to participate

Peacefulness is inside heart. You may choose to believe God or any religion, but if you can't find the truth to let your heart obey the God's rule, you won't feel ease. You don't have to say anyone else's wrong to proof you're right. well, it means you don't feel peace at all.

Or how about an attack on the Jews in the Quran!
2:96 And thou wilt find them greediest of mankind for life and (greedier) than the idolaters. (Each) one of them would like to be allowed to live a thousand years. And to live (a thousand years) would be no means remove him from the doom. Allah is Seer of what they do.
Or here is a real good one! Really shows that PEACEFUL SIDE OF ALLAH!
2:174 Lo! those who hide aught of the Scripture which Allah hath revealed and purchase a small gain therewith, they eat into their bellies nothing else than fire. Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He make them grow. Theirs will be a painful doom.
