The whole bible is about Jesus Christ. The Old Testament deals with His geneology and fore tells His coming. But within the text of the Old Testament are samples of How God relates to man, His ways, laws, statutes, and How he intervenes in the affairs of man and how the Holy Spirit works. The bible is a small guide book to help us understand God a little. The bible says that the Lord is unsearchable and there is no end the vastness of Who He is. That's why there's so many books in the bible, because each book gives a little more insight to God. The New Testament of course is about Jesus fulfilling the desire of God through His death and resurrection. Also, about the things to come. The only reason things contradict themselves in the bible is because the reader's understanding is cloudy. You have read the whole Old Testament and all of the New Testament and understand it well. Then you will see there are no contradiction. In order to understand some things in the New, you will have to read the Old.

I don't know if you've noticed or not, but at the core Humanity is Hypocrisy. Jesus said "There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but leads to destruction". We use to get to do what we wanted when we were in our pure form in the Garden. We also use to walk with the Father in the cool of the day. After our nature was changed by sin (Selfishness) we were banned out of the Garden. Not because God is mean, but because after Satan injected his poison into our DNA our nature was changed. He then seeked to have Adam and Eve eat of the tree of life, which then sinful man would have never died and been stuck in his sinful state forever. The devil is very cunning. The purpose for the Old and New Testaments are for a witness unto humanity that what he said in the OT people didn't believe. Then it came to pass in the NT. It bears witness to the truth. Have you ever noticed that your kids seem to respond better when you put a little warning behind it?

I believe that Christ spoke in parables so that the people could figure out for themselves what the "message" was.
the Bible is interpreted so many different ways..yes, the Bible was written over a period of 1500 years by 45 authors and there are "books" that were left out..censored? because they were not probably popular ..Political correct?
Well, i think the main message is in the NT and the History is in the OT..but any religion has to be accepted on Faith..as no one can prove or disprove the Bible...its an enigma..as you believe you shall you receive..

Well dear, how would we know these things if they were not written down? The bible is also a history of a nation, the nation of Israel. It is God's word to us. One of the reasons we can trust that it is His word is because the prophecies of the Old Testament have been fulfilled. Not all of them, of course, there are still many to be fulfilled in the second coming of Christ. And the bible is our guide, while we are here on earth. To study, to learn, to follow Jesus. I must disagree with you on saying there is no logic, or there are contradictory statements, in the bible. It actually contains all we need for life and godliness.
God doesn't want to live "however we want". He desires that we live pure and righteous lives.

Thats a big if. What if Christianity is about treating all other beings with love and respect? I guess the rest of your question would still apply.
OK then - we have a book called the Bible because spiritual Christianity was appropriated by the political leaders of 3rd century Rome as a way increase authority over the people. Quite effectively it appears.

Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve, God promised a saviour, In the old testament prophets prophesied about Him, also the O.T. is where the laws are given. Whereas no one could keep all the laws, God sent His son, so that everyone who believes on Him, God writes his laws on their hearts and minds.
If we dont have the O.T. and New Testament = Old will vs New Will, then just a statement how would people believe it to be true, unless by searching the O.T. they can find out for themselves?

First of all I completely disagree with your assessment of the Bible. A professor of philosophy majoring in logic, a graduate of Cambridge and a fellow of Eton College who converted to Christianity early in WW II by the name of Derek Prince asserts that the Bible was the most logical book he had ever studied, and he had read all of Plato's works in Greek.
(see his website: http://www.derekprince.org/site/PageServer)
I think one of the most remarkable things about the Bible is that in a very small volume written over a period of about 1500 years by around 40 different authors, God has provided us with all that is necessary to gain the wisdom, understanding, knowledge and faith to successfully navigate our way through this life and arrive at His eternal Kingdom.
If you refuse to accept the authority of the Scriptures, it shall always be like a sealed book and a mass of riddles and contradictions.
You will be like a radio receiver that is only capable of receiving AM transmissions while the transmitter is sending out signals in the FM radio band. You may throw your radio away and say "the stupid station is sending out garbled nonsense"; but the problem is not with the transmitter (God) but with the receiver (you).
That is why Jesus said "You must be born again"

its not enough to believe, you have to live a somewhat moral life. Thats what the gospels are for, they tell of the life of Jesus and how Jesus wants us to live.
the OT is important becuase the NT references it,

Why do cars come with manuels? Why don't the manufacturers sell you the cars without the manuel guide? The same reasons apply to christianity. Just as you need a car manuel to fix the car when it's broken, christians need the Bible to fix themselves when they're broken.
