only 1.5 mg (0.5 3x daily) for seizure. I have gained some weight and been sedentary since an accident that left me with paritial seizures, so I'm sure that doesn't help. Have you experience a shortness of breath due to a benzodiazepene?

Benzodiazepines such as klonopin do cause depression of the respiratory system. You may want to talk to your doctor about a change of medication if it is sever but because you have seizures it is very important that you discuss this with a medical practitioner. Also it can be dangerous to stop klonopin abruptly as you can get nasty withdrawal effects. Definately talk to your doctor dude. Good luck.

Not at all. I take 1mg in the morning with 30mg of Lexapro then 0.5mg at night. It's for my panic attacks, anxiety and nightmares. I haven't noticed any real side effects from Klonopin, not even drowsiness. The only thing I've experienced is possibly a slight loss of appetite with some weight loss (about 10 lbs in the past 3 months) I was taking Ativan before the Klonopin and I did not notice the weight loss until after I was switched to Klonopin in early February. I'm not sure if it's directly related to the meds or the fact that I'm just more active now then I was before.

The Ativan made me feel slightly drugged and I was almost instantly addicted, that's why I switched. I feel no effect from the Klonopin at all other than I feel more 'normal'.

I take it as part of a regimen for depression, anxiety and mood swings. I am fine on it. I will take my evening meds now and see if I have an effect. If you'd like to share your story with me I'd be honored. I accept email. I am a breast cancer survivor among other things.
