It just gets me soo annoyed. Yes I want to be very thin, I'm not denying that. Maybe it's even unhealthy what I want or what others want. Some people would like to eat themselves to an early death. Others want to set a record for thinness. Others just want to get on with their own lives and eat what the hell they want and have that be their decision. Aren't you sick of constant talk shows discussing "weight issues" and "body image". Haven't we had enough lecturing?!
I'm so tired of measuring BMI, checking and rechecking that my diet's healthy, constanting comparing my weight to the ever-changing contries average. And now there's a big fuss about size 0. Can't we decide food choices ourselves?!

I have always been a average size ( what I consider a healthy weight for my height and age) but after college and fast food I gained allot. Now I'm losing weight for MY HEALTH. At first I was doing it because Ive always thought that being "skinny" was the what people liked. I have always noticed that women smaller than me always got what they wanted and got more respect, but I was wrong. Anyways, yes I agree that people of the talk shows discussing weight issues has gone over board. My standing on this; if you want to lose weight do it for your health and yourself. If you need help there's help out there. But don't do it because of what all these people or Hollywood stars say, do it because its something you want to do.

I absolutely hate it. You can't have an average in a country where the people are so diverse, different ethnicities will have different builds and body shapes/sizes. It's a stupid idea for a diverse country to even standardize this stuff.

Plus I wish half the brats on here who ask "am I fat?" would get a freaking life and concentrate on their schoolwork. It's another way to keep women out of the more educated professions--make them worry about their weight.

I agree with you. I personally want to lose quite a bit of weight, but I hate that it is constantly shoved at me that I am doomed because I am big. I think people's self esteem would be much higher if the tv shows would stop pushing us to the extremes.

I think everyone should eat healthy and exercise, but not fixate on what the scale says. as long as one is healthy, one should be satisfied.
