Wicca a NEO PAGAN religion, NEO meaning before, in this instance before CHRIST himself. My question is for all those Christians who run around and quote bible sayings as if that will redeem them for judging everyone outside of the LORD himself. I am now wiccan because I believe Jesus was a MAN, who married and had children. A man who rivaled a great king, and like many great kings he killed his rival. The bloodline of Jesus flows today and that is why I am Wiccan. Religion had a basis before CHRIST but all you ever hear about is the GOOD WORD. If it was so good why did they wait til' the 1200's to full write it? There were 12 apostles yes, and many wrote literature but the rest were fisherman and carpenters or craftsman. And I'm sure they told their story to someone. That sure is a long time. :))

I can accept its existence but not honor it as it is contrary to God and His Word.

As you've said paganism is not new. There is nothing new under the sun.

Gah! Fluffy Bunnies!

No, Neo means new, not before! Wicca was invented and established in between the mid 1940s to the mid 1960s primarily by Gerald Gardner - it has no verifiable historical authenticity before that time period despite the claims of some revisionists who fantasize about it being "the old religion" of ancient Europe. Gardner’s' self admitted purpose was not to resurrect any real identifiable ancient pre-christain religion, but to create a religion based on what he thought the ideal ancient religion SHOULD have been like. But instead of being forthright in what Wicca really is, Fluffy bunnys had to invent a past for their own faith, as the only solid evidence for the origins of Wicca consists of the writings of Gerald Gardner himself.

Please, and I mean no offense but go and do some more research about your professed religion...you make Pagans look bad.

Wicca dates back before Christ's BIRTH, not Christ Himself. Christ is God, and as such has always been and will always be. I, personally, do not accept wicca in any shape, form or fashion, and certainly do not attach the word "honored" to it. Your knowledge of history is somewhat wanting. And as for Christ having a bloodline, prove it (as everyone keeps telling Christians). There's no evidence of such a thing, certainly no way to prove it, and even if so, what's that got to do with wicca? And modern wicca, by the way, ain't that old, only dating back the 19th century, so again, where do you get that it outdates One who is not constrained to time?

I'm afraid I must agree with the first two posters here. Wicca dates back no further than the late 1940s and was actually INVENTED by Gerald Brousseau Gardner who was heavily influenced by the teachings of one Aleister Crowley.
As to whether or not Christians accept Wicca as a valid religion, I think you'll find out very quickly from them when they post as to what their opinion is on that.
BTW, NEO does not mean "before" as in "before Christ". It means "NEW". 'nuff said.

christains believe that only christains and usually their own group(cathloic, pedicostal, morman, ect) will go to heaven that they are right and everyone else is wrong. they can;t even come together in a common belief structure under one god. all i know is they are going to be dissapointed when they go to the pearly gates and saint peter says "sorry its the budists this year"

as for wicca the religon wicca was recognized in the 1950's and given a name for which followers who believe in the same belif structure ccould unite under a comman name. how ever wiccan beliefs were structured after the celtic, roman, greek, norwegion, amoungst other nature based religions and were around long before the concept of one god and christianity. i think what you meant to say is that the nature based belief structure was around long before the concept of one god.
just thought i'd clear that up so the other people who wrote above me that wiccan is a new religion would understand what you were trying to say. i got it sweetie;)

Just like you said, there is no doubt that Jesus (pbuh) is returning and there is no doubt that the anti-Christ will come to deceive many people before his return. It's not exactly who Jesus (pbuh) accepts, but rather who of US accepts him when he returns. That part is up to us, we get to choose whether we accept him or not. And our faith will determine our choice because those who are weak in faith will follow the anti-Christ instead, may Allah protect us from him and his corruptions. From what I know through many lectures, the majority that will follow Jesus (pbuh) will be Muslims true to their faith, and also some Christians who see the truth once he returns. But even many Muslims who are weak in faith will end up following the anti-Christ because he is very deceptive with his powers. The bottom line is, those who truly believe in One God and do not associate Jesus (pbuh) or anyone else to Him will see the truth inshallah and will be the ones who accept Jesus (pbuh). Those are the people with such strong faith that makes them aware of the deceptions of the anti-Christ. To my Muslim brothers and sisters, take the opportunity to memorize the first and last 10 verses of Surat al-Kahf so that if we live in the era of the Dajjal and Isa (as), we will be protected from the deceptions and be on Jesus' side! Salaam~

I see several issues here...

The first is to assume that _ALL_ Christians globally have an opinion about Wicca.

The second is to understand that the "historical/spiritual" connection with (Modern) Wicca to "our" paleolithic ancestors, is about as hypothetical as the Preachings of some modern churches have with the teachings/intent of Christ.

There is no one Global answer to the question.

You must stand convicted trying to talk about God and his creation and then being such a Antichrist. You must be dawn to this forum . Anyway was Satan before Christ? Read Psalms 8 it talks about Jesus with the father during creation. As far as anything to do with Wicca to the best of my understanding is Demonically inspired and there power comes from demonic forces be it the Devil or his Minions. If you ask me Wicca is short for Wicked and are servants of evil regardless. I've encountered much witchcraft and I assure you evil and wickedness try to hide. But there deeds and actions will catch up with them. Hell, Hades, Death, Place of burning sulfur, and ultimately that lake that burns with fire has plenty of room. There is a few places in the Bible that talks about witch craft and none states anything good about it and strictly forbids and forewarns against it. If you want a free ride to damnation for ever go ahead dabble were you shouldn't. Damnation is pain for ever.

I hate to break it to ya sparky, but it dates back to the 1950s, created by Gerald Gardner.

You're saying that its old because it contains references from early neopagaism, that's like Christianity claiming they're older because they contain references of Judism.
