I need help on wiring an illuminated switch, its a single pole double throw. The switch works, but the light for the switch wont turn on, I think there might be a jumper or something that needs to be installed somewhere. Can anyone help me out?

Did you possibly install in such a way that it's not grounded to the vehicle? That could be all you need to do. You might try taking a wire, connect it to the frame and touch it to the metal part of the switch, if it lights, that's your answer.

Or, it could be tied to the dimmer system on the dash lights. In that case, you'd need to do a bit of experiementing to figure out which wire to splice into.

On an illuminated switch there are 3 prongs, one is labeled Constant 12V other Ground and the other Power source (which is what you are going to be powering when you turn the switch to the "ON" position. Again as said my guess is that your ground is not connected, try using alligator clips on the ground prong on the switch, and attach the other end to the inside of your door, and see if it works, if not e-mail me.

You should have one input terminal connected to a 12v source; two output terminals, and one terminal that needs to be grounded for the light to work. My guess is you don't have the ground terminal connected.
