I've recently started exercising because I am trying to get into better shape. I am a little overweight but not obese and no known health problems other than some allergies.

I have taken by blood pressure about 15 minutes after exercise and it was 158/75. When I am at rest, the systolic number is usually in the 120s range.

Is it normal for the systolic to go that high after exercise? And I really wasnt feeling light headed or dizzy or anything like that. I plan on asking a doctor next time I see him but I was just curious if anyone else ran into something like this.
Thanks.

Your blood pressure and heart rate will increase with exercise. You are increasing the need for oxygen (and removal of carbon dioxide) at the cellular level. The heart reacts accordingly to provide that to the cells. Your BP and HR should return to normal within a few minutes of finishing the exercise.

yeah its completely normal, especially if your doing weight training. during weight training its not uncommon for a healthy persons systole pressure to reach 250 mmHg.
