My earlier questions about dating and having pre-marital sex, almost all responded that it is not supported/liked/suggested by bible.

How many true christians do you think we have, who believe and practice abstinance in this world.

Derek, I see a beautiful soul in you.

Hmmm. that is not good. Doesn't this show a decline in religious as well as moral values?

Not practicing abstinance outside of marriage is not a measure of true Christianity, so your question is invalid. It assumes definitions not in evidence. I'm 40, still a virgin, but I'm a true Christian because I know, understand and accept that Jesus is the Messiah prophesied from the Fall of Man, that He is the Christ, that He died for my sins only because He loves me, that He was buried and rose again so that I might live with Him in Heaven some day. I profess this truth with my mouth without shame, and have been baptised, as a symbol to the world of my acceptance of The Truth. Whatever since a Christian may make after this decision do not take their status as a Child of God away, and those before this decision are no more anyway.

I am sorry I missed your earlier questions about premarital sex and dating. I would have loved to respond.

Literally billions of people profess to be Christians, of course. But only a few million actually practice the Bible's morality when it comes to sex. And that is few in comparison.

I have been divorced since 1993. I have practiced the Bible's morals in this regard since then. People look at me as if I have lost my mind.

People always find a way to justify fornication if that is what they wish to do. Mistakes are made, yes. But there are so-called Christians practicing fornication and finding every excuse for doing so.

actual Christians are people who're starting to be at a speedy %. interior the international, because of the fact of all the 'undesirable' issues happening interior the international right this moment. Born lower back Christianity is the quickest starting to be faith interior the international which incorporates tens of millions from Asia and the the remainder of the international. So why are we right here? Letting our Lord understand that He has followers and elect devil abolished.

You're assuming that one can be a TRUE Christian. Fred Phelps and his crew look at themselves as Christian too. Does that mean that if you have EVER sinned that you are not a TRUE Christian?

And not only Christians practice abstinance in the world. In addition to that, there are situations in parts of the world where Christians are raped as virgins.

Teens growing up Christian aren't necessarily going to abstinane, regardless of what the Bible preaches. Which is stronger--faith or peer pressure?

i don't think being a true christian is about doing everything the bible says. i think what really matters is that people try to abide by the rules. people aren't perfect. o_O

i think the question you should be asking is how many hypocryptical christians there are out there. the ones that continue to judge others without considering what they really would have done in others' situations.

don't get me wrong, i'm christian myself... but i think that sometimes you have to respect other people more than you "do" already. :)

what is a true christian? This idea has been the cause of wars. Mainly between opposing groups of christians.

if you want to abstain from sex until you are married, then do it. but don't do it because some book partly written by men nearly two thousand years ago , Do it because it is right for you. I hope you find true love, from this true christian, if you seek one.

trust your own feelings - go with them

hmmm I am not religious or anything, I wasn't raised to believe in a religion and I didn't go to church but I am a pretty moral person because my parents raised me to be aware of the world and taught me personally responsibility.
By definition I would consider myself more Christian than most of the people who label themselves as such.

True christians follow Christ and his teachings. So far I can say my children understand what it means to stay a virgin till marriage. I have a 14yrold and 13 yr old daughters who think it's great to be that way. my boys are still young but already get that. wish more teens who follow that teaching.

Well, since most people concerned about who is a "true christian" define it in such terms as to cancel out most everyone else, if you go by everyone's definition, there has never been one, ever.
