Most, if not all Christian faiths are really churches of man.
Given that, if a mixed marrage is "politically incorrect", they will call it sin.

As for the bible, God say that his choosen people have to marry amoung themselves.
Basically, if you jewish, you need to marry jewish.

For the rest of us, God doesn't say.

hope that helps

The Old Testament law commanded the Israelites not to engage in interracial marriage (Deuteronomy 7:3-4). The reason for this is that the Israelites would be led astray from God if they intermarried with idol worshippers, pagans, or heathens. A similar principle is laid out in the New Testament, but at a much different level: “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14). Just as the Israelites (believers in the one true God) were commanded not to marry nonbelievers, so Christians (believers in the one true God) are commanded not to marry unbelievers. To answer this question specifically, no, the Bible does not say that interracial marriage is wrong.

A person should be judged by his or her character, not by skin color. All of us should be careful not to show favoritism to some, nor be prejudiced or racial to others (James 2:1-10, see especially verses 1 and 9). A Christian man or woman's standard for selecting a mate should always be to find out if the person they are interested in is a Christian (2 Corinthians 6:14), someone who is born again by faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:3-5). Faith in Christ, not skin color, is the Biblical standard for choosing a spouse. Interracial marriage is not a matter of right or wrong, but of wisdom, discernment, and prayer.

The only reason interracial marriage should be considered carefully is because of the difficulties a mixed-race couple may experience because others will have a hard time accepting them. Many interracial couples experience discrimination and ridicule, sometimes even from their own families. Some interracial couples experience difficulties when their children have skin tones of different shades from the parents and/or siblings. An interracial couple needs to take these things into consideration and be prepared for them, should they decide to marry. Again, though, the only Biblical restriction placed on whom a Christian can marry is whether the other person is a member of the Body of Christ.

Since everyone has a skin color, how could it be wrong? The only stipulation to interracial marriage was imposed by the Law of Moses (that is, the laws God gave to Moses, not laws that Moses made up himself) that said that the Hebrews (Jews) could not marry non-Hebrews (Jews). There was an addindum that if a gentile (anyone not a Jew) were to get circumcised, he was considered a Jew and could therefore marry a Jew. However, since Jesus came to set us free of this Law, and institute a new Law, the it doesn't apply, except in as much as the rest of the Old Law does, to show us God's measure of holiness. Now, under New Testament Law of Grace, a Christian should not marry a non-Christian ("do not be unequally yoked to unblievers"). Other than this, there is no stipulation about race at all of which I am aware after 30-odd years of study. Many people preach it as if there were, but these same people preach a lot of things the Bible doesn't support (like tithing).

Is the question implying that only 'Whites' can be Christians?

By the way -- not only does the Holy Bible NOT forbid
Interracial Marriage -- most of the people of the Holy
Bible who had the greatest impact on the world were
either Mixed-Race OR spouses in an Interracial Marriage
(ex. King David, The Apostle Timothy; Moses, Ruth, etc.)

I didn't click, but I can just imagine the racism in that answer. God doesn't care what color you are, all He cares about is your heart.

The only reason I ever have discontent over interracial marriage is not that the couple won't do well together, but because of the hardship they have to endure from racist idiots. It's hard enough to be a young couple just married, with all it's problems, without having to deal with fools over something so stupid as skin color.

Next time somebody makes an idiotic statement that color should stay with color, tell them to read the "begats" in the Bible and figure out where those folks came from ... all over the world, all different colors.

The link was a troll question. It is not a sin and the Bible records instances of Biblical people marrying between races. The only time the Bible suggests marriage should be avoided is between believers and nonbelievers, it is called being unequally yoked and while it is discouraged, it is not forbidden.

It might be, but not because of skin color. The only time the bible condemns marriage with foreigners is when such a marriage might lead a believer away from faith in God. In fact, two (and Ruth) of the four women mentioned in Matthew's genealogy of Jesus were not Jewish.

Edit: I just read the link and where does he even mention the bible as a justification for his statements?

Just for a biblical reference, read Numbers chapter 12 where Moses married a woman who was a ethiopian. The Lord had not problem with this. In fact, the Lord said of Moses that He was faithful in all his house. So God does not have a problem with interracial marriages. I Sam 16:7 says, "....man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart".

Its not a sin to marry someone outside of your race, but the bible teaches to not be unequally yoked, with non-believers..But..If you happen to be married to someone who is a non-believer, this is not an excuse to divorce them..A non-believer is sanctified by the believing spouse..

the answer is no..It is not a sin..

The answer to marrying someone who do not worship the same God as you do.. is... it is a sin..It is a sin because it is against God's word..

Concerning being a christian and marrying a coloured skin person is a HORRIBLE STATEMENT..You are implying that people who are not of your race, are not capable of being a christian..God Almighty created man in his image..Adam and Eve were here first, and we all are from them..They were one color, and generations of there offspring were one color..

We were all one race in the beginning..(Dark )..White skin was a result over something that had happened..

Leviticus 13:20 (Whole Chapter)
And if, when the priest seeth it, behold, it be in sight lower than the skin, and the hair thereof be turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.

Leviticus 13:25 (Whole Chapter)
Then the priest shall look upon it: and, behold, if the hair in the bright spot be turned white, and it be in sight deeper than the skin; it is a leprosy broken out of the burning: wherefore the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is the plague of leprosy

Leviticus 13:12 (Whole Chapter)
And if a leprosy break out abroad in the skin, and the leprosy cover all the skin of him that hath the plague from his head even to his foot, wheresoever the priest looketh;

Leviticus 13:13 (Whole Chapter)
Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean..

As a result of both races having children with one another came the result of many difference skin colors and nationalities..

If you are trying to be judgemental beause you are different and because you feel superior over the fact that your ancestors have suceeded in oppressing another race of fellow human beings for some years..maybe you should ask should a colored skin,.. black,.. african american,.. mexican,.. black jew,.. brown jew, ..or etc marry you..

My answer will be....There is NO superior race..We are all God's children..We all come from adam and eve..and when we trully submit our lives to God Almighty with our entire minds, hearts and souls, we all shall be true brothers and sisters, regardless of our skin colors..

please stop this racist talk..You're making yourself look bad..End this topic a.s.a.p..How are you contributing to society, with these types of questions?
