Your answers are great. HEre are some details...I met a great guy in January. Long story short, this would be a long distance r'ship...he works on a ship and is from Europe. He will be gone from now until the end of the summer. We sort of agreed that we really hadn't been together long enough to make a commitment to each other, but we agreed to keep in touch and see where we are in the fall. And we both feel if it is meant to be, it will be. I really don't know how to make it work given the circumstances we have been dealt. The long distance thing doesn't bother me; he loves to travel and we would be able to see each other pretty often. Anyway, if it's meant to be, it will be, but how to intervene and "make it happen?"

You can only be yourself and if that is what has attracted him to you, then he will love you for that. Maybe this is a good time to really ask yourself what it is you want out of a relationship and why do you think this is the person that has those qualities to provide you with that. Long distance can be tough but worthwhile if you both have the qualities to be able to trust and be trustworthy and can make the most of the time you do have together and not spend that time bemoaning the time you don't have together. I think if you both are true to yourselves and who you are, it will happen if it was meant to be. Are you ready for that commitment or do either of you still want to see if their is something better out there for you???? Big question that can determine all the rest of your interactions and the relationship. If he is the one, you will know the right things that need to be done to make it work [and vise versa] and recognize and appreciate those qualities in one another. Good luck!

Everything happens for a reason, so you meeting this guy wasn't a coincidence.
Also, if something is meant to be it will. So how do you make it happen? Well you can't technically, change the course of fate. However, if this a guy you're interested in having a relationship with them make sure to keep the lines of communication open. Email, text, IM often. Visit whenever you can and send cute little sentimental cards. It'll keep you connected emotionally even when you can't be together physically and hopefully the time will fly, you two will still be interested in one another and you can make plans to take the relationship to the next step.
Best of luck to you.

I think that things do happen for a reason. something has to happen that causes something else to happen. both good and bad. We choose what happens though. If something is really meant to be it will. It may not happen right away or seem like it will happen. But if its meant to happen then it will in its own time

Yes, things happen for a reason; but that reason may not be the one you're thinking of. And if it's meant to be, both parties have to recognize it; if only one does, it could be a pain to convince the other, you know?

Yes....I think everything happens for a reason. Even bad things happen for a reason that ultimately turn out for our good in the long run...And yes, if things are meant to be than they will....

physics dictates that the universe and all within it would always rather be choatic -- so things happen more randomly rather than for a reason. we like to use our "highly evolved" brains to find coincidences in everything though and its part of human nature to do this because it familiarizes us with the world therefore making our stay more comfortable in it. you can't rely on the random, choatic order of things to say "if its meant to be, it will come to pass." the truth of the matter is it will only come to pass if you take the necessary actions to obtain it.

It all depends on what you believe. If you believe that your fate is set and that all things happen for a reason then yes, if something is meant to be it will happen. But if you believe we create our own destinies, (not sure if I spelled that right) then no, there is no reason for anything happening.

Yes there is a reason for everything good or bad. if something is meant to be yes if it is god's will for you at that time of your life.

girlfriend somethings just happen. And you are just another piece of womb that this man can get when ever he is in your neighborhood. Like Murphy's Law says,"What ever is going to happen will happen." Then there are people who wait for things to happen, want things to happen and there are those who make things happen. Which one are you?

I believe that things happen while you are making plans!
Roll with it and take the good and toss out the bad.
