No, women need to have at least 1200 to 1500 calories day. You should eat healthy food but enough quantity so that you don't burn more calories than you are taking in.

since having my baby, that's about what I eat in a whole day too, except I have a little more than just an apple at breakfast. I also have a bowl of whole grain cereal, but even with the added cereal, that's definitely not enuf for a whole day
If u wanna know how many calories u should really be eating, go to this link below:
Calorie needs vary greatly according to a person's age, sex, and activity level. The U.S. Department of Agriculture has developed a chart to help people find their specific calorie needs, which can be found online at www.mypyramid.gov/pyramid/discretionary_calories_amount.html

Of course how many calories you need in a day depend on many factors (age, height, weight, activity level, etc), but what you are eating is not enough!

The total for what you've consumed is only about 650 calories. Average recommendations for daily calorie intake range from ~1500-2500 (again, depeding on the factors). When you consume such a low amount of calories, your body will get used to this. Yes, you might lose some weight, but it is also slowing your metabolism, which is not a good thing!

Your body needs a surprising amount of calories just to live. So consuming such a low amount could eventually do damage to your body.

Try this website:
http://www.preventdisease.com/healthtools/articles/bmr.html
it calculates your BMR (basal metabolic rate) which simply means the amount of calories your body needs in a day to "function". This should be the lowest amount of calories you should consume in a day.

Hope this helps!

You need to add calories to your diet. Although many young women feel that eating a very calorie-restricted diet will result in long-lasting thinness and movie-star good looks, when you eat far too little you actually screw up your metabolism -- which can then result in unwanted weight gain down the road. You also deny your body needed nutrients. There are numerous web-sites that can tell you how many calories you need daily based on your gender, age and activity level. If you are having difficulty figuring it out on your own, consult a physician or nutritionist.

Not likely. Not only you need around 1500-2000 calories (standard) as already said, but you also need food from all the food groups. Lack of calcium and iron can even result in serious health problems later on.

For example, Iron from vegetable sources, isn't well absorbed by your body, if you don't include iron from other sources.

Totaly agree with my colleague hobo_pan and samarama.
You must eat at least 3 servings of fruit and 2 of vegies per day plus the other "goodies" mentioned in some of the other answers and 8 glasses of water(more on very hot days) per day.

Nope. You need to eat more fruits and veggies to stay healthy. More protein would be good too (ie eggs, meat, tofu, etc.) You may not be giving your body the nutrients you need. It isn't so much how many calories you eat, but what typ of calories they are.

Personally I don't think you are eating enough. How old are you and what do you weigh now? I would try for 1000 calories per day and continue drinking your water.

No..you need to eat atleast 1200 calories a day. If you do not eat enough your body will store it away and you will actually gain weight by not eating.
